Those guys are not predictable. Even sometimes when the needfuls are not done, luck or favour might work. I can never imagine someone getting trv with less than a million naira when someone with more than five million naira is being denied. Maybe na because hin papa na serving commissioner. Its well.

Happy Sunday guys.

Its our week.

So I've been following this thread like forever, and I said I wasn't going to post any comment till I have good news. Someone introduced me to this page a little while after submitting my application (that was like part 10 or 9 sef, not so sure anymore.) just to read through and see how much patience I'll require. TBH, reading a lot of comments, I already have up sometimes that my application wasn't as solid as some people that have been denied. But I kept the faith. Let me cut the long story short sha. I got admission to Conestoga College (PGC, Computer Applications Security)

Visa application details;
Applied 19th May (Online route),
Biometrics 21st May.

Admission letter, with full first semester tuition paid.
Letter of Explanation
Sponsorship letter from my dad, with his official letter headed paper (Serving Commissioner in one of the states of Nigeria).
Statement of account( inflow: 12,153,796, outflow: 11,377,364, closing balance: 790,876).
Letter of introduction from his bank.
Police Certificate.
Data Page of international passport (No travel history). And all those IMM forms.

Medical call: 27th August.
Medical passed: 31st August.

Had to defer my admission, since I didn't hear anything from them again. Sent the new admission letter.

Finally, Passport Request: 31st October
Approval update/Correspondence letter: 5th November.

Will pick up my passport on Tuesday or Wednesday, and resign from my current job at the end of this month.

Total Duration: 24 weeks, 2 days.

All praise to God. I've not been calm since morning. Turn down for what? I wish all TRV hopefuls all the best.
congratulations! U mentioned something about sending ur new admission letter, so u mean you sent it to CIC? Please clarify on how you went about that.

Hi everyone, pls I applied for conestoga admission deferment to May 2017 and for 3 weeks since applying they haven't done it although my student page on their website says ACCEPTABLE CONDITIONAL, REVIEW IN PROCESS. Nonetheless am worried, is this situation normal? Does it take this long to defer an admission and reissue new acceptance letter?

Pls help me clarify, gurus in the house. Thanks in anticipation

many banks refused to sell due to the CBN condition (don't sell more than 5NGN above/below official rate). GTB only permit their Mastercard naira debit cards which you can have access to 360CAD max per month. 1CAD=244NGN

Google search schools in Canada and ask their your program director or graduate admin.

Time is ticking!

Can one access all that in one transaction? I.e. use the 360 in just one transaction

mind you in Quebec province, after getting admission, you apply for certificate d'Quebec before applying for Trv if I'm perfectly correct. And ur funds especially the living expenses have to meet the minimum requirement listed by CIC for Quebec province.

The best way to get your money increased is by using a dorm account or a 3rd who has a dorm account or a dollars account. That's what I did. Not all schools allows 3rd party beneficiary though.

Hello Yemdogg I do have a dom account but someone here posted that the money was paid back to the originating account which is gtbanks since I bought the dollars through them.

If I send my dom account details will the school pay me or send to get bank because my difference in dollars is close to 1.2 now and that's no joke to let go now.

Thanks

You need to confirm from the school first. Send them a mail and inform them that you have a dorm account and due to instability of Nigeria's foreign exchange, you prefer they send the money to your dorm account to preserve its value. That's what I did for Conestoga college. I learnt some schools insist on returning the money via the route it came.

Hi bro, I think its depends on Ur school, my school which is Thompson Rivers University made it clear to me that they only refund in CAD and USD . I went ahead asking them the specific account they want and they choose my Dom account which I have forwarded to them.

However, I still went ahead by calling my banks which is firstbank and Gtb, asking them how possible will that be for my school to pay back to my dom account and fortunately they confirmed that is very possible since they agreed to pay in to my dom account. You can still make inquiry from Banks though.
