Check well you would see but I logged in and saw student. I saw student does not mean I was shortlisted

You see, Nigerians graduate cannot differenciate btw "selected" and "contacted" and that's Whr the problem start. The 200k have been selected and verifying their bvn after which they will be assign to their duties. They said 2 weeks from now. Patience

And they selected 150,000 out of the 305655 that applied for Nteach for the first batch. My thinking.

Login to your npower dash board and check your profile, if your role reads student it means you are among the selected 200, 000 but if it shows applicant, dear wait for the next batch.

Am surprised at your questions to say the least. Those 3wks training in camp are supposed to equip corpers to fit into different jobs and start theirs if they can. There were sections for computer repairs and other ICT training, soap making, photography, etc. Unless yours was different. NYSC wasn't design for teaching in case you have forgotten, it's just a last resort due to the state of the country. So yes they received some amount of training even if it was not tailored towards a teaching career as u'r expecting.

Those were Skill Acquuisition And Enterpreneurship Development(SAED) and not teachers traning. Corps member who served in hospitals were not trained during the capming. What kind of traning was given to those that were posted to local government secretariat?

Those that saw Students which role did they applied while those that saw applicants which role did they applied. so that we can make the right assumptions

but is there anybody with applicant written under his role?because mine with about three of my friends our role are all student.pls what is all this students and applicants stand for?

Government should assemble youths without orientation/guildlines and send them to class rooms abi?

Because NYSC became mandated to send some youths to classrooms without any prio teacher's training whatsoever makes it legit for FG to carry on with that policy huh?

Well, that everyone is doing it same way doesn't mean no one should ask for better ways things can be done especially when it's obvious that there lots of square pegs in round holes in the education sector. You will understand better when your kids start going to school. I just hope those called up will receive some form of training before posting otherwise we'll back where we started in no time.

My point is; the corps members that were posted to schools or hospitals had no formal training and no one faults that, those that went to college of education or university of education has some teaching experience join with service year. The Npower has other categories apart from teaching so apply where your skill is. Its simple. Talking about square pegs in round holes, unfortunately it is everywhere in Nigeria not the education sector only, explain how a prison warder and a legal practitioner who never in his life kick football or has any knowledge about sport became the Minister of Sport huh. To me teaching is about transferring of knowledge so you see it begins with you, you can't relate what you don't know to someone else.
