lool inasmuch as noodles are very high in calories, op lied by saying it contains about 600claories per pack, that's a lie, its about 300kcal. if you get a noodles pack look at the back you will see it there.
however, don't eat indomiea in quantities because you want to get fat, why you may ask? noodles are very high in sodium and run risk of kidney failure.
if you ever looked at the content of a noodles pack, you will find out that 1 pack of noodles will meet about 60% of your daily requirrment of sodium consumption.
it's not just about beating food high in calories, but eating food that have good calories like banana. eating a bunch of banana is very very high in calories

Chai! Thank you ooo. Soeatin noodles too much can also affect kidney? Tufiakwa! God forbid. Abeg asides dat banana, which other foods u sabi dat are good in calories and wont have any effect on me as well.

CALORIES
Today our topic will be based on calories people tends to believe that eating fatty foods is what actually make them fat but in essence it was intake of too much calories.

What is calorie
A calories is a particular unit of energy that we use to measure energy content in our food and beverage.
People that want to lose weight are advise to eat less calories that their body will burn each day. If a food was giving to you and the person said it contain 150 calories what the person is telling you is that your body could get energy that is up to 150 from taking that food. calories is good for our body because our body needs energy to keep us going.
However eating too much calories without any active body exercise will leads to excess fat in the body.

haha...all fruits are good o. I didn't say banana is bad but know that too much of everything is bad.
to gain 1kilogram one needs to eat 7000of calories extra.
if your body needs 2500 calorie daily . and let's say you eat food that meets that exact amount, all of a suddent you started adding banana as extra. if you eat 10bananaa that's 1000calories because 1 banana has an average of 100calories.
but banana has very beautiful composition so it shouldn't be avoided rather eaten in moderate amounts.
so if your body needs 2500calories and you want to lose weight. try not to consume foods over 2500calories daily otherwise you will add weight.
For those that exercise or walk a lot, you will need more than 2500calories to maintain your daily weight. use this website to check how much calories you need daily

So how do we survive? By drinking water only?

The Op should have asked people to use the figures provided to calculate the amount of calorie they take per day to reach the targeted calorie rather than asking people not to eat them.

have you ever wondered why some people eat too much yet are always slim while some eat the same amount and grow rapidly fat. wonder no more be ause it lies in what is called Metabolism
I like to call metabolism the engine of the body, if your metabolism is high, it means your engine is always working faster than other. that's why some people eat plenty and don't get fat, its because their engine aka metabolism is very high. and this metabolism is often as a result of genes inherited.
so if you eat plenty rice and red meat and don't get fat, its either you have a very high metabolism or you are a very busy person . your business is serving as a sorta of exercise. its one of those I just stated

Sanchase:
Doctors recommend 2500 calories per day for men.

The ideal recommendation is eat right, lots of vegetables and lots of water.

A friend of mine consume 7000 calories a day yet he maintains an average weight of 88Kg every month and very healthy. You could wonder how this is possible, well he eat according to the job demand. He is a professional Athlete who spends 4 hours a day in the swimming pool.

So its best to eat according to work demand, always balance input = output.

If your job required being static on a chair then maintain 2500 calories a day.

Excellent and well said.. This really tally what the Op was trying to put across. These are all typical Nigerians foods, we just need to take the calories as we can maintain and neutralize them with our daily activities.

You can eat your whole grains even wheat. When the fibre is there the amount of calorie taken will reduce as the fibre add bulk to your food.
You can eat okro soup ohhh. Better vegetable. Just don't add oil. That's how we prepare it in the hospital especially when its the patients favourite. Oil or no oil your soup will be delicious if you know how to cook.
