that's quite much.

:DI remember making like 10-20 copies of everything and carrying it around on registration day. As you know, paper weighs a ton, so it was not very comfortable on top of that...rain was now falling like no man's business. In the end, I only used about 2 or 3 copies. Chai, the thing pained me shaaa.

Lmao grin

you are lucky. During my time, I took 30 copies each and 30 passport photographs too. I was just wondering why I was given a very wrong information by my school. We live and we learn.

I'm a foreign student, i lost my school ID card and i'm through with my nysc registration online. I've print the slip which means i'm going to camp soon. Right now i'm at home (in my country) and my school is very far from here. What should i do, can i swear affidavit? or should i report to the nearest police station to get police report. cos i actually lost my wallet and my id card, atm card and my big money #1800 all inside the wallet. I will specially honor your answers. thanks ya'll

Hey Foreign Student smiley

To be honest, no one asked me for my school ID. All they asked for were my passports and Degree Certificate. The process might have changed now but I very much doubt it. Make sure you have your passport that contains your study visa etc, Bsc certificate, statement of result, etc...But I had to do physical verification in Abuja at the time (compulsory for foreign graduates). Not sure what the procedure is now. If it makes you feel better, you can get a police report and an affidavit just to be on the safe side. Better to have it than not.

Sorry about the N1,800. Dont worry. You'll get your first allowance during the second week so that should cheer your up grin

Goodluck.

School ke...I found out all my information online oooo...I swear I might as well have carried a photocopying machine along with me the way they were going. They also made it sound like a do or die affair if you ever ran out of copies. No body mentioned that there were photocopiers in mammi market and that the costs were very reasonable. A bunch of Scare mongers! undecided cheesy

You dont seem to be confident in the answers LogoDWhiz and Adesuwag have given you regarding copies to take. embarassed Hunny, dont panic ok They have copiers in camp if you run out. I am sure you dont need 10 though. If you are feeling weird about it, just take a max of 5 copies. You can always keep a couple of copies for memories. wink smiley

Long process angry but quite straightforward. smiley

Well...According to NYSC, your PPA is meant to provide you with accommodation or a suitable allowance to find said accommodation. Unfortunately, not many places will provide you with place to lay your head and they will still pay you peanuts. They are often not held accountable.

So the best thing to do is to seek out one of those Christian/Catholic Fellowship Houses. They offer very cheap accommodation to those that really need it or their members. They also get pretty filled up quickly so suck up to them whilst in camp. However, be sure to ask your PPA if they can consider providing you with accommodation, especially if it is a school! No harm in asking!!!

Find/Make friends that you can possibly rent an accommodation with later on after camp. Believe it or not, majority of people are probably in the same boat as you and would be quite willing to share especially if you are a pleasant person. So be nice!!!
thanks so much!

What date exactly? cause the time frame is too short for corpers to plan as no one is sure of how far the distance may be .....

I want to ask how true is it that there are two streams for this batch?

the first three (3) days are for registration in camp. But, be sure to come early on the third day. That is, according to your example, your arrival on the '22nd' day should be very early. This is simply because the registration/verification portal closes too.

You will be pushing it...literally tipping on the edge. So don't even attempt it. Don't!!! Go the day everyone else is going. You signed up for NYSC so you have to give them your life for 1 year starting from the first date of camp.
