According to multiple social media sources,the Appeal Court today granted Eyitayo Jegede SAN leave of Appeal and dismissed Jimoh Ibrahim /Poroye's application.This is a step forward in reclaiming his lost to Jimoh Ibrahim.

This is funny.its just a minor bleep and victory.its just one out of several applications granted.it simply means that the court has given them the right to appeal the june ruling nullifying mimiko backed exco.I wonder how that is legally right since its the state exco that should appeal and not an outsider.I think this application to decide which exco is the rightful one would determine the pdp candidate.but according to pdp statutes which invalidates caretaker excos,it means mimiko's kangaroo exco is illegal and jegede is wasting time.if the court rules otherwise,its pure bribery at work

The court granted Jegede leave of appeal of the Judgement by Justice okon Abang and not that Jimoh Ibrahim's name be removed by INEC.

The court, in two unanimous rulings by a three-man panel, upheld the applications by Makarfi, Obi (Chairman and Secretary of the PDP Caretaker Committee) and Jegede for leave to appeal against the June 29, 2016 judgment and October 14, 2016 ruling of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja.


It granted the appellant (Jegede) 24 hours within which to file his brief or argument and three days to the respondents to file respondent’s brief.
