She's almost 3.
The dialogue her mum had with her.
Mum: Eva did you eat your food
Eva; no
Mum:who ate it??
Eva:Eva's aunty.

Personally, I won't confront the teacher directly with such an accusation as there's every possibility she hasn't been eating your child's food. I would hate to accuse anyone falsely of such an embarrassing allegation.

I would rather request to have a chat with her and tell her that Eva keeps complaining that she doesn't eat her food and then wait for the teacher's response.

It's possible that Eva wasn't keen on lunch and the teacher threw the food away (this should be the standard practice so as to avoid food poisoning, all left over meals should be thrown away especially if it hasn't been kept in a fridge).

It's also possible that Eva's eating pattern/preference has changed. Maybe she prefers some meals to others. Maybe the teacher needs to understand how to coax her to eat like you do when she's at home. You can only know the next line of action to take (maybe change your dayghter's meals, etc) after discussing with the teacher.

Finally, kids will always be kids. What do they really know at that age? The teacher might be eating her own food and Eva just assumes that it's her own food that her teacher is eating.

u'r welcome ma'am.
We can order for 30 units if it's OK. I discussed with Kidco n he said N7500 for 30 books, N2500 delivery to Abuja; I told him Nyanya is central enough for us (hope that's fine? )He said he has a new consignment n the books r neat. We can pay to his account individually or gather our money n pay together.
So mamas, what r ur specifications? i.e kids' age range, boy-ish or girlie books, u want books on religion included? Etc. When shld we make our order?

Hurayy!!!! my baby is 8 weeks today. Thanks for previous advices, she's growing bigger than we expected.

At about 2 weeks, my mother and MIL said a baby must be taking multivitamin so they smuggled in ABIDEC, well baby became a glutton and would suck breast till she throws up, eventually we discovered the reason and I insisted they stopped Abidec.

For diapers, we started with moflic, huggies (which we discovered to be fake) then little angel but somehow adventured into pampers and king, the result was a badly red and rashed skin, we've since returned to little angel which seems to be the best for her, waiting for the skin colour to normalise.
She eats sooo much that when she's sucking and falls asleep and breast is removed from her mouth, she wakes up and refuses to sleep until breast is returned mother has to sleep with breast in her mouth, is this advisable and hygienic?

We got breast pump so as not to make it difficult when mother starts working because we are going on 6 months exclusive for the sake of the baby, she has not been accepting the feeder o except once when she woke up and was very very hungry, we will try again later.

She's been having colds so we got giovin drops, got better, she's been on vitamin c for about three weeks though. She had cough so we got panda cold, also relieved.
Lastly, when she sleeps she tends to move her body as if in pains when sleeping. For colic we've been using nospamin which seems to be working.
She sweats a lot too, even more than we the parents at times

Will inquire solo for more mama to join your set

Young babies may not know what the pictures in a book mean, but they can focus on them, especially faces, bright colors, and contrasting patterns. When you read or sing lullabies and nursery rhymes, you can. entertain and soothe your infant. Between 4 and 6 months, your baby may begin to show more interest in books

Let ma see if I can arrange how u you will get it through my sister that stays there.

My plan:

After we collect the books, I will give yours to my husband to give his friend that stays in Lugbe, then I will give you his wife's number so that u can get it from her.

I don't know if you are comfortable with that.

Never. grin This is my personal opinion though.

I'm not a fan of pacifiers at all. I have never used them and I have no intention of ever doing so.

I am of the opinion that if my baby is hungry, I feed him and not give him a pacifier. If he's crying, I find out what the issue is (soiled diaper, maybe he's too warm, etc) and not reach for a pacifier. If he's bored, I sing and entertain him. If he's cranky or fussy, I give him lots of cuddles and comfort him. If he wants to be carried, I carry him.

The Abidec is in order please. Breast milk does not contain enough vitamin D. Abidec ensures the baby gets just the right daily dose. The abidec is not responsible for her throwing up after feeding. She should be well burped after feeding.
Use sudocrem for the rashes. Apply on her bum after every diaper change till the rashes clear completly. It's sold in pharmacies. My son reacted to Molfix diapers too.
My son doesn t sleep at night without breast in his mouth ooo. So I sleep with him but I remove once he dozes off. Once he wakes again, he finds his breast. There is nothing unhygienic about it.....So nothing to worry.

For the feeder, try getting another brand of feeder. If it's avent you bought, try boot or Tommy tippee or even this our unbranded bottles that are cheaper sef.

Am surprised she is having cold and cough. I think ifshe is getting enough breast milk, she would have some immunity against such. I hope she had her 6weeks immunizations.

For the sweating, the weather is hot these days. That is what is responsible. Please reduce clothings and covering. My baby is 11weeks, I don't wear him socks again at home during the afternoon. Just body suit. That's all...Some afternoons now, I remove the body suit completely from him and wears only diapers to sleep well else he will be soaked with sweat which is not too as they are loosing water. This can make baby easily dehydrated.

Read the page before this your post. Mamas have suggested what to do for the colic.

Nah, this isn't correct. Vitamin D is dependent on diet. In the US, they don't eat a lot of foods rich in Vitamin D. Nigerian people eat a large quantity of eggs, leafy greens fish, beans and nuts and fresh orange fruit so we don't eat like Americans (who think eggs are fattening, eat more salads, dont really eat beans and certainly don't eat oranges like we do). In Nigeria we do, so doctors in Nigeria and UK (which I believe we most closely follow their health guidelines) recommend the Mother take Vitamin D. And most paeditricians don't like very young babies on multivitamins.

Well am sure most mama has attended to u.
Mu advise is mostly for d feeder.
Who is feeding her.
Let ur wife express d breastmilk n give u to feed her or grandma while she disappear from dyt place.she shud go rest while u guys r on it.

Babies can smell dir mothers. I cant take u to mr biggs and keep u infront of those delicious meatpie den give u mgbadume to chop(localmeatpie)
Same tin.beautiful soothing fountain of life infront of her and u r giving her plastic.u sef.hehehehehe
U can also change feeder maybe nipple is too strong or u boil d nipple to soften it.

Also check flow of d opening.maybe its not fast enough so u jus dey suffer d poor girl stressing her jaw to suck n suck.

Well for abidec.i was told not to give babies multivitamins unless prescribed by d doctor. Instead mothers shud take d vitamins and babies take dir share from breast milk.

I used angels too.d diaper is nice.

My baby started using one when he was 3 days old. He was given one at the NICU and I just came and found it in his mouth. Make sure to get one with soft teats that feels like a nipplë.

I mostly give him at nights, when he won't settle down to sleep. He sleeps off in minutes after.
