Dat Akpeyi dey shake ooo, thank God sha we won. The Algerian should not forget their pillow and bedsheet and the remaining of their food stuff ooo, cos we don't need it.

Their coach focus on iwobi and ihenacho not knowing how we have Victor Moses. Our center back na die, Leon balogun dey mark.

I wish Carl ikeme quick recovery cos we need him between the stick, for me Akpeyi is not an option.

You dey see road abeg.... I told someone who watched the game with me that Ndidi has to come on after I saw Feghouli come in.

We needed another DMF/marker to help Onazi as the Algerians were beginning to get a foothold on the game.

I'm so excited. And I said 3-1... Yaaayyy!!!!

Rohr for President!

The Ndidi for Mikel change is pure genius!

We need a solid second choice keeper and a right back. We have enough options to fix problems in midfield and attack. And Elderson is a good defender..

but did you see how Ndidi corrected that Mistake? That boy is a baller
Wonderful player. He did what Onazi was not doing; charging and harrying the Algerians. As soon as he came on, the pressure stopped and we completely dominated the game.

Big Shout out to the Algerians especially Bentaleb, Mahrez and Brahimi. Wow. Those guys took the game to us in the second half and caused us problems. They were a nice test of our growing stars.

Omeruo played fantastic before he got injured. For the little time Shehu was in, he didn't do badly.

Nice result from the two venues. Cam vs zam: 1:1, Nig vs Alg: 3:1. If we can win our next match against cameroon and zambia vs algeria ends in draw, then simply say we have qualified. Celebration mode activited.

You've given them too much applause. We annihilated them. It could easily have been 5 - 0. If Onazi has provided cover and Akpeyi had not been dull, they'd not have scored.

If Kelechi had scored that tap in and Musa had given a better cross in injury time, we'd have scored 5 goals.

They were no match for us. Moses owned their defense. Balogun killed their offense.

Victor Moses:

What a hero today. Target of most tackles. A masterstroke by Rohr, playing him on the left to help deal with the pressure on Echiejile. Ran miles today and was determined in the first goal. His second goal was a result of nice positioning and great running speed.

Definitely, one of the best players on the field. Another confident display from him.

Alampasu is better than the Fool! He's just giving me unnecessary heartache!!!
Stop calling him fool,He tried his best,he conceded just one goal, what would u say about the algerian goal keeper that conceded 3. Though the goal was clearly his lack of credibility as a good goal keeper.

The Algerians created chances and drew a lot of fine defensive performances for our players. They caused us problems.

They worked hard and deserve praise for their effort.

Nah, I saw him caught out of position a couple of times. My MOM is obviously Moses, followed by ETEBO!!! The guy was running for 90 mins, marking, fighting, pressing, hassling, everything! Echejile was ok, but Omeruo comes next for me before Balogun

Etebo:

What an ox. After today's performance, Rohr will have a tough time dropping him. That guy ran like he had an oxygen tank on his back.

Frightening that he did not tire. Looked as if he could go another 90 minutes. He took so much pressure off Mikel with his running and gave Mikel the liberty to take risk.

Amazing talent.

We stiffled them so much that all they could do was start shooting from the distance.

There was a time I saw some comments against Balogun on this page about how he is not our best CB, I just shook my head. This game is another confirmation of why he is unplayable in our defence. There was a time he took the ball from defense and took the ball all the way to the final third.

He often drops to the midfield to get take balls from the Algerian midfielders. Chai...that guy can play!

Caught out of position when he pressed in the middle. I think it was two or three. However, his brilliance and hardwork kept us in the game. He was outstanding even after we conceded.

Note, I said my man of the match. I know many will pick Victor Moses. Most writers will give it to Moses. But, Balogun was my man of the match.
