johnydon22:Indeed you are dense and I doubt if you truly are igbo. I am proudly igbo and son of the soil. From your profile pic you are a kid so I will excuse your ignorance. When a forest is tagged an evil forest in igbo culture its a place where the abominable get put. if a child is born witb 6 toes he is an abomination so into the evil forest with him if a child is born siamese same thing Those who commit taboos against the community get buried alive or sacrificed to the shrine there to appease their gods ... This amongst other things is why there is the tag of EVIL forest on it. An evil forest in a community has boundaries and those knowledgeable in that community know these boundaries so avoid it. Were you expecting them to include that human sacrifices were being carried out there in that article? I suggest you call an mbaise man and be educated. You are still a boy. |

| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:05am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:smh indeed you are a boy. I suggest you take a hike to aboh mbaisa and to that particular community and find out first hand what the goings on were in that evil forest. You can thank me later. Ignorance is no excuse. You are clearly ignorant so simply appealing to emotions. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by johnydon22(op): 11:09am On Nov 13, 2016 |
naijadeyhia:Lmao bro you no longer have a case, that a group of over enthusiastic Christians tag a forest evil doesn't make it so - humans can be evil not forests. this was a simple task... johnydon22:I'm still waiting though, let's see if you can pull this off...!!! |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:14am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:Why are you doing this to yourself? Those who live in the community have their reason for calling it that. I asked you to take a hike there and find out why and you are here spewing nonsense. The article said they repented and were once worshipping their gods and followin the tradition of the land. They are way more knowledgeable than you in this regard. Nobody wakes up and tags a place evil. In Igbo its called ajo Ani and its normally designated for the acts requested by their gods which include sacrifice, oaths, rituals etc. You really need to stop embarrassing yourself right now. I am trying to get you to write in an informed manner and not ignorantly such as you are doing. Balance is the key word I am done here before this grotesque ignorance rubs off on me. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:19am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:Oh and by the way just in case you did not get the memo....Christians did not tag it an evil forest..it was already an evil forest before Christianity. ..I suggest you read up on Igbo culture and tradition. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by johnydon22(op): 11:19am On Nov 13, 2016 |
naijadeyhia:lmao - everyone knows your idea of "Evil forest" comes from Nollywood, Evil forests are basically place where Corpses of people who die evil or died on an abominable act or from strange illnesses are thrown not a shrine with a chief priest - LOL i wonder who is ignorant of Igbo culture, tradition and history. Now back to the issue.. johnydon22:You have to finish this sir |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:21am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:This is why I called you a kid. So you assume that Nollywood formulated that concept? You do not know it was borrowed from already existing Igbo culture and tradition? Your ignorancr is epic. Perhaps tou should rewind to the days of Mary Slessor and re-educate her. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by johnydon22(op): 11:23am On Nov 13, 2016 |
naijadeyhia:Bros evil forests don't have Chief Priests only a shrine does, Evil forests are basically place where corpses of individuals deemed evil or committed abominable acts are thrown and we all know it has been ages that crap stopped.. Igbo lesson in culture 101 so show us where the article affirmed your assumptions johnydon22: |

naijadeyhia:Baba this is what i said lmao - everyone knows your idea of "Evil forest" comes from Nollywood, Evil forests are basically place where Corpses of people who die evil or died on an abominable act or from strange illnesses are thrown not a shrine with a chiefI just helped you define what Evil forests really mean - i am still waiting for you though, stop running around boss ![]() |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:26am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:chai such glorious ignorance. An evil forest is a designated area for the rituals demanded by their gods to be performed. These gods have chief priests and this chief priest has a shrine and he can choose to locate his shrine inside the middle of the forest in accordance with his demands and it is this chief priest who says what must happen in that forest. You are still a kid boy. Call your dad to educate you on igbo culture. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by Nobody: 11:40am On Nov 13, 2016 |
johnydon22:You actually think you can define an Evil forest? Sorry you cannot. You can only experience it as its definition is determined by the gods who own it. I have given you a written experience of what an evil forest is. Go to aboh mbaise and see for yourself. An mbaise man knows what I am talking about. Its like someone calling people from Abiriba carnibals those days which is true as they ate people. You wouldnt know this by sitting behind a computer. |

| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by otemanuduno: 1:28pm On Nov 16, 2016 |
naijadeyhia:Ha ha ha! So this is the meaning of the evil forest. I thought it was the IGODO kind of forest where 'demons' are attacking people and killing them. That place must be very local to still be performing ritual killings till date. Even Yahweh(satan) has stepped up his games and the Israelites don't do sacrifice anymore. LOCAL PEOPLE WITH LOCAL MENTALITIES. |

It is very wrong what they did. Truth is many Christians would not support the rampage of youths in the name of Christ, but they would have no problems with the community agreeing to destroy every symbol of traditional religious worship. |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by hopefulLandlord: 11:26am On Nov 30, 2016 |
delishpot:they usually support it "by silence" they've had their brains hammered that our traditional worship is "evil" almost every prayer points in certain churches are directed at our traditional gods truth is deep within them, they're in support of destruction of the shrine! |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by michaelwestern(m): 9:04pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
My major problem with this thread is calling cutting down of trees terrorism. You're trying to compare something that can be described as vandalism to the killing of people in the name of religion. Besides, the land does not belong to the chief priest, so you can't compare it to burning down a church built by people. The forest is most likely a public property, so if anybody should complain, it should be members of the community, and from the story they supported the action. It will be very rare for you to see a group of Christians physically attacking people of different beliefs. The worst you can see is destroying their properties and shrines, which is vandalism and not terrorism. And most Christians don't even support that. So stop comparing cutting down of trees to killing people for your religious beliefs (which is the true definition of terrorism). Peace |

https://www.nairaland.com/2523478/religiouswar-against-traditional-religion-anambra#36923144 Pastors burnt shrine in anambra back in 2015...if burning churches is terrorism, tell me how this is not.. Or does a crime cease to be wrong when Christians are the perpetrators..? |
| Re: Christian Terrorism [the Peak Of Hypocrisy] by EyeHateGod: 11:14pm On Dec 01, 2016 |
When Christians persecute and terrorize others it is seen as a war against evil, these other religions or cults are tagged labels like "Evil hindrance to our progress" etc but when others treat Christians the same way it is called persecution and terrorism.I like This point it's valid.. |

johnydon22:This can only happen in your area, probably due to lack of civilisation and good knowledge of.Christianity. Such is not found on national or global dimension. It is peculiar and restricted to your area. Besides, Jesus didn't instruct his followers to do so. There were idolaters in his days but he never went to them to fight. He was only rebuking his own people who claimed were in the service of God. |
