I have a serious anger problem that has cost me relationships with family and friends.
I am that person who will do everything in her power to see that you cry if I feel I have been slighted in any way.
I just do not know where to stop once I begin. I have said terrible things to people, things that in my sober moments I am so ashamed to admit.
The thing is I am as quiet as they come but once I get angry, I turn into another person entirely. This tends to take people unawares.
Has there been anybody in my shoes who ended up overcoming this?

Anger destroys. Keep that at the back of your mind. And just as one poster said, do not bottle things up. When you are uncomfortable or upset, let the person know. Once u keep holding that person in mind, your explosion will surprise you.

And try to let somethings go. Know that humans are not perfect and you should anticipate the evidence of that imperfect nature.

Be positive about life. Laugh more, play more and don't take everything to heart. Because with time, people will be scared of being around you. They will have to tiptoe around you to that they do not trigger an explosion.

It takes continuous conscious effort to get rid of that angry kid

I nearly wash the design off my plates

I’m with you on this, I put all energy into washing plates, if there is no plate to wash, I will scatter and re-arrange my wardrobe.
