For those asking for the access to the Kaplan Online Practice Test, Here:

Follow the link below:
https://www.kaptest.com/pages/booksonline#gre

The access i have is for the GRE Premier 2016 and GRE Premier 2017. Each of the versions contains about 5 full practice test. I was able to go thru some of the practice tests in the 2016 version but couldnt go through the test in 2017 version due to time constraints.

For GRE Premier 2016, you would be asked the input the last word in a particular chapter of the book when you click on register, the word is text. And for the GRE Premier 2017, the word is response. You would have to sign up with them to have access to these resources.
Hope this helps...

All the best in your best.

Thank you for this, however, av tried every means to access the test but all my effort has proved futile. On the website, I was only allowed to add paid tutorial to my cart while the free practice test login was not found. Can u please delineate how u access the test.

Which one be paid tutorial again?....dunno about that

See eh, just click on the link i posted earlier, it will take u to d Kaplan online bookstore for GRE. You should see "register" beside the "GRE Premier 2017" or the "GRE Premier 2016", click on register and it takes u to another page where u will enter the key words provided above for either the 2016 or 2017 version.

Then the selected version (GRE Premier 2017 or GRE Premier 2016) is added to your cart, note that the value in ur shopping cart should be $0 because it's assumed that you have the hard copy of the book since u have provided the last word in a particular chapter as demanded.

From the shopping cart page, click on "proceed and checkout", and u will be prompted to either sign in or set up ur account..... Then go to your profile after signing in and access all the goodies in the Premier version of the Kaplan which include the 5 full online tests.

Please lemme know if u are successful....i just tried these steps and they all worked.

Cheers!

This is so painful. I waited all weekend hoping someone would drop this link. I ransacked the internet, the best I got was a McGill practice set which in my opinion is a little lower in standard compared to the real GRE.

Anyways, in all things we give thanks.

Wrote the test today, Q161: V154. We didn't pass, we didn't fail sad

Now, I'd appreciate suggestions on schools with funding opportunities

Profile: CGPA: 5.7/7.0 (3.5*/4)
IELTS 8/9
GRE: 315
2 years Industry experience
Very little research experience.
MSc or PhD Electrical Engineering

Hi people, I was @ JKK today for the much talked about GRE...As expected, my actual scores are quite close to my Powerprep scores. I had Q 160 and V 154. Although, I already have a list of schools I plan to apply to, I would appreciate if anyone here can help with list of schools that match my profile especially for funding purpose. I intend to study Applied Maths and my undergrad CGPA is 4.53/5.0 (3.68 WES unofficial). I will appreciate any form of help/assistance. Cheers

Great work and lovely scores. I thought as much** Now, check out the EEE graduate programs of these schools. Hint: You might start mailing their grad program co-ordinators.
- University of Minnesota Twin Cities
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- North Carolina State University at Raleigh
- Howard University
- University of Nevada, Reno
- Vanderbilt University
- University of Arkansas
- University of Notre Dame

To boost your chances, pick an EEE research interest that you're really excited about (these people will usually see through the smoke scree, if you are bluffing), and ask the program coords how to "put your best foot forward as you start applying". Don't forget to add your GRE scores, GPA and how you stood out during your UG program.

Don't mention anything about money to them.If you do those well, funding will most certainly take care of itself, God willing.

Good luck!

Hello all on this thread, I have been a silent follower for a while, I plan on writing the GRE in January and need to start preparations now, I've done my bit on getting as much study materials as needed (Nova Maths test, Gruber's complete guide, Magoosh videos, Magoosh flash card app, 5lb book of GRE practice problems, 10,000 words, GRE quant study material, GRE math review, GRE math convention etc.) I think I will be doing myself a lot of damage if I say I want to cover all these cos I believe too much study material will derail study time/plan.

Can anyone please advice on:
1. Which materials to focus on
2. How best to study and track progress

PS: I intend using the GRE build on my very low CGPA together with my years of work experience.
Course of Interest: MBA or any other Management/Business Master
Country of Interest: Canada (Still open to US options)

Thank you guys.

WHY ALL UNDERGRADUATES AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST HAVE THIS APP ON THEIR MOBILE PHONE?

INSTITUTION LIVE CHAT:
made easy by “signing in” using your Facebook or google account, you can have an instant/live WHY ALL NIGERIAN UNDERGRADUATES AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST HAVE THIS APP ON THEIR MOBILE PHONE?

chat with all members
(students) across all the institutions in Nigeria. Not only do you have the chance to connect and engage with members of your own institution, you can also connect with the members of other institution by choosing to turn on notification for your own institutions and others of your interest.

LANGUAGE HELP TAB: This tab teaches you how to learn and converse with people in either YORUBA, IGBO or HAUSA using SENTENCE TEXTS with AUDIO PLAYER TRAINING for each sentences/words. Some of the categories of conversations (based on the event/circumstances you find yourself) are transport conversations (what you can say or reply when you want to enter a cab and communicate with the driver), life threat conversation (how you can understand when people are planning or saying something evil about you), market conversation (what you can say when you want to buy things in the market), romantic conversation (what you can say to a girl or a guy you would like to have a romantic moment with), counting money (how to count money in native language), foodstuff conversations (like rice, beans, Garri, locust beans, etc.), health/ sickness conversation, etc.

I had similar issue with you. I think I have more materials than you do!

However, given the nature of the exam you might need to combine more than one text in fine proportions. All the textbooks have their strong points but considering how confusing it might be in finding a balance, I'd suggest my pattern to you:

I used the Manhattan books more: for me, they handled almost 90% of my Quants. Started out with Official ETS then consolidated with Manhattan 1-6.

After reading a topic in this and you still find certain things recondite, you can quickly glance through other materials to see if they explain the concept well. In my case, I think I checked some Probability stuff in Princeton Review and Kaplan.

For Verbal: Other than the Official textbook( which you should definitely start with) I used Kaplan and Princeton for RCs. I didn't quite study text completions and SEs like that. I'm of the opinion that they are more vocabulary inclined. If you know the meaning of the words, you stand a better chance picking the right option.

So for Vocab building, I used the Magoosh flashcard app. It really helped.

Lastly: You determine which of the textbooks works best for you. Given our different predilections and style of learning, you might find a certain text well suited for you than another.

This for me is the most important after learning all the concepts: PRACTICE WITH SIMULATIONS!
Kaomafen, Crunchpep, McGill, Kaplan and then PowerPrep.

Lt me know if this helps

How can I get to JKK from ojuelegba?

I'm assuming that you're using Public transport. If not, just drive down from Ojuelegba into Ikorodu Road. JKK is after Obanikoro but before Anthony. Watch out for Mutual Benefits House, i think that's the most conspicuous Landmark in the place. Though you might have to drive down towards Maryland before you turn into JKKs side of the road.

Case you're going by public transport:
From Ojuelegba, board a bus to Ojota/Ikeja/ Anthony. Any of these will be fine. Some conductors might not know where JKKs building is so tell them Mutual Benefits House( that's after Obanikoro and Savoil Bus stops but before Anthony)

I hope this helps.?
