And the youths (me inclusive) will just sit down and watch. No demand for accountability and transparency in government. These Bleep dicks asshole politicians are already strategising for 2019, ignoring the fact that they are supposed to "govern" . We are too weak. This our sitdown look approach is wrong.

How can their oga pocket her salary when it is directly paid into salary accounts individually?

Maybe your mom is not on the state payroll. Please verify from her if she has done computer/finger print verification with her ministry.

WomanOfRace:

Mr man, did i say you are lying when you said your mum that?

I'm from Anambra,in Anambra and with my family ok?

I know when they pay my mum and you are somehow indirectly insinuating we are bunch of liars.

If you had taken your time to read and comprehend my comment you would have understood what i meant when i said"i don't know if it is their oga's pocketing their money". As for the ministry, not necessary i table it to you.

I don't talk trash; besides, what do i stand to gain painting my own governor black?

Na so my brother, Good to see Gburugburu gradually stepping up to the plate after a slow start..

Enugu allocation is probably one of the lowest in Nigeria yet the managed to pay, though am not happy with there record on pensions, a lot of people are still been owed back to back..

The whole Nigerian situation is just depressing..

Placed last on the table of ability to meet monthly recurrent expenditure commitments followed by Bayelsa, Oyo and Osun -- AFONJAS

Zamfara, Gombe, Anambra , Niger, Katsina, Ebonyi, Edo and Kebbi were classified as states with fair shortfalls

You should be ashamed of your self, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa with huge allocation and also share from 13%, They also get money from NDDC and Ministries of Niger Delta. they should be ashamed then.

The state is not owing anyone. My mom, my little sister and cousins are all in the state ministries of justice, health and finance respectively, and they all receive alerts on the same 25th and promptly. So your mom's case cannot be different. Is either your mom is not a civil servant on the verified payroll or she is being economical with the truth..

Apart from Rivers state,if the remaining 6 oil producing states including Akwa Ibom state having the highest oil revenue with its relatively moderate population, and yet it cannot meet its obligations to its people, then something is fundamentally wrong with the way those states are being govern. And it may be worthwhile to scrap those states (AkwaIbom, Delta,Edo,Cross river,Bayelsa,Ondo).

My take is simply that we have too many states. All over the country. Those not owing huge amounts today can owe tomorrow.

I still see no proper wisdom in splitting old Ondo, Cross River, Bendel, Kano, Kwara, Oyo and others. We just created more bureaucracy & expenses/civil service/recurrent expenditure. Nigeria cannot afford that.

Now imagine how much various states are spending on building airports that mostly only the elite will use. Or fancy stadiums. That money ought to be spent on primary healthcare/health promotion, roads, education, rural electrification, water supply, promoting local entrepreneurship/artisans, promoting local agriculture and other social intervention projects that impact directly on grassroots.

Alright dear as i would love to end this here. There is a reason Anambra is in that list. Obiano should settle them.

Anambra is not on the list of the weak states nor on the list of states that are owing salaries arrears. Re-read the news report for proper comprehension..

Too poor, what is Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa doing there.

It shows that "oyel" is not everything. Provided oil helped to bring about "uncommon transformation" in Akwa Ibom, but the state right now is passing thru economic distress.

How do I know, I live and work in Uyo. Love the city, but the purchasing power has more than gone down 3/4 of what it was in the time of oil boom!

Let me say the three state are magicians abi? Anyway, God bless you, please don't join the bad ones in the near future. Pmb, you should know by now that governors, past and present are big thieves, they collect money, pack in Ghana bags and hid under their begs, water tanks, bury and share into several accounts and leave civil servants to starve, die and their children sent out of school becos they are not able to pay school fees, hospital bills, food, rent and rather than ask governors to account for the money given to them, you probably planning to give them another which will end up in the account of their godfather, as in kwara state with the last bailOUT fund. Do you sincerely think the team you have now are better than jonathans time. They are all Vampires. Thieving governors, ministers, chairmen and others.
