A problem like this with different signs is best solved with the simple formula: BODMAS where
B= Bracket. If there's a bracket, the equations in the bracket are solved first. Followed by

O= Order or Of = Multiplication. The multiplication (times) is solved next. Then

D= Division. Then

A= Addition/Plus. Then

S= Subtraction last.

So from the problem above,
5+5x5+5. We have only Multiplication (same as Order or Of) and Addition (plus).

So solving the multiplication in the middle first gives 5x5 = 25.
Now we have 5+25+5 = 35.

Assuming the question was 5+5-5+5, since addition comes before subtraction, we will solve it like this

The first 5+ 5 = 10
The second 5 + 5 = 10

Therefore 5+5-5+5 = (5+5)-(5+5) = (10)-(10) = 0
