Tinubu As A Leader Is Responsible For His Own Misfortunes ~ Fayemi

Sequel to the ongoing intraparty crisis segregating the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), another known "political son" to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who had chosen to pitch his tent with President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, Dr Kayode Fayemi has thrown a stone at his former political godfather, Tinubu over the weekend.

The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, who Saturday described the embattled national leader of the party as a leader and hardworking person, however maintained that Tinubu was responsible for his own misfortunes in the party, saying no one can be seeing himself as the indispensable where thousand of intellectuals operate.

According to the former Ekiti State governor, "Asiwaju might have been instrumental to the political breakthrough of some of us, he has the financial muscle, but we equally paid our dues without opportunity of negotiation. We have always been the "Yes Sir" types and we never complained. But we never expected him to think such can continue where development takes place. It is no news that whatever goes around comes around."

Fayemi urged the supporters of the President Buhari-led administration to remain steadfast and focused. He added that the present economic situation of the country was a result of some injurious pieces of advice given the presidency at the inception of this administration by some people he described as leaders without visions who had wanted to hijack the presidency before God's intervention.

He assured Nigerians that everything shall soon take formation and the country shall regain her strength again as the giant of Africa, adding that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu should not continue tearing the party and the country apart with his "golden silence" which he (Fayemi) said was destructive and well understood.

"Asiwaju's antics are not new to us. We can never underrate his political calculations and permutations. Yet, we cannot continue worshiping him. He deserves respect that we are giving but should stop making this country and our party ungovernable for our leaders. The steering is always meant for the driver and not in conjunction with the conductor.

"Once a political party is formed and a national leader is appointed or elected, other mini-leaders should be humble enough to respect the decisions of the constituted authority no matter what. Wherever there is no orderliness, there can never be progress, and we call ourselves the Progressives. We must be ready to live out our name as the Progressives.

"What happened in Ondo State during our primary that produced Chief Rotimi Akeredolu against the wishful calculation and permutation of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to impose Hon. Segun Abraham was a complete display of egocentric orientation by Asiwaju. No single man, I repeat, no single individual can override the decision of our political party. No more in APC!

"We have presented Akeredolu and we believe he is winning the governorship election by all means. Ondo people have supported our candidate and with the reactions of the people, he has the victory already. Our second coming to this state will be to inaugurate Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as the Governor of Ondo State, political anti-party and calculations of some disgruntled elements notwithstanding, because everything, I mean every arrangement is in order," Kayode Fayemi assured APC supporters.

Great comment....

Tinubu's popularity is sinking so fast...his case might just be like AD and ANPP by this time next year.

Fashola - gone
Fayemi - gone
APC - already gone
Oil rich Ondo - gone forever

He misled South West people (incl. Igbos) to vote for this useless party and its government.
He has gambled wrongly on this and deserve all this treatment.

Nonsense

Did fayemi just say this? I doubt. But then Tinubu is not indispensable. His political influence is overrated. He has political acumen but not that influential. The number of votes Kano state gave APC is more than the number of votes southwest as a whole gave APC in 2015 election. So what's his problem and why is he carrying himself as a Demi god. Let him float his party and let's see how far he will go. He will still be relegated to his southwest zone. He is not a national leader but a regional leader.

Yoruba people and backstabbing are like 5 and 6.

The same way North sided with Akintola to imprison Awolowo, is sameway Buhari is siding with Fashola & Fayemi, to sideline Buhari. Look at small Fayemi throwing stones at Tinubu now. Chai even tonyebarcanista, modath and omenka alongside passingshot will wail with me.

Lalasticlala I am crying for Tinubu please give me handkerchief.

I will just wait for Fayemi to deny this statement credited to him. Yorubas are omoluabis and we respect our elders and benefactors even when we disagree with them. I don't think Fayemi can talk about Tinubu in such a derogatory manner publicly but I will wait for him to deny this statement.

Tinubu is standing alone. Only Aregbesola and Ambode are still with him, when the heat gets worse in the kitchen, they will abandon him. I see Tinubu landing in prinson before 2019.

Fayemi couldn't have said this! He doesn't talk like a rogue politician, he's too cultured and well mannered to talk like this!
There's nothing in the tone of this interview to suggest it's from fayemi, I expect a denial from him in the coming days.
He was the governor of my state for four years and as such I doubt this is really from him, not necessarily the content bit the manner it was spoken

Tinubu reminds me of 'the Godfather '.at this point no one can deny his greatness.his silence is causing disturbances of epic proportions.fayemi has 'jumped' he should have kept this within his inner circle.this can be used against him at any time.if his oga has a message to deliver why should he volunteer to be the fall guy.fashola has been more tactical even never implied or said anything that can implicate him
Tinubu the Smelly mouth

Fayemi has gone mad again. Someone that couldn't win a single WARD as an incumbent Governor, someone that couldn't win a single ward for his party in the general election of 2015?

He thinks he can insult his benefactor just like that. ingrate...
