I saw a picture of camon 9 and hot s screens on white background . The screen of the hot s is significantly better than the camon 9

erm.... I haven't seen the display on hot s so I can't say, but i've seen the display on Camon c9 and it's awesome.

Also, you can't judge the quality and a display from photos of a smartphone, you have to actually hold them physically to make informed judgement.

Believe me I thought it was FHD until after I bought it I found out they had been lying... The hot s has 720p display with 282ppi. I'm pretty sure camon c9 also have 720p display. The thing is tecno and Infinix are not saying anything about the display type on their websites, its just the tech sites that 'assume' they are FHD.

Lol. U are correct. The correct PPI for hot s is 282ppi. Even cpuz and CPU x are getting it wrong with these Chinese phones. But I think camon c9 is 1080p display. I may be wrong though.

6753, but it is actually 282ppi with 720p display. I think camon c9 is better with 1080p @ 401ppi

The thing with PPI is that the larger the screen, the lower the ppi. This is because a larger screen means the individual pixels have to be spread across larger surface area to fill the space.

Most Chinese OEMs deliberately omit their device PPI for a reason I know not. But whether they decide to omit it or not should not deceive a tech savvy phone user.

All you need to calculate the PPI of any device is the same old Pythagoras theorem. Simple as that. So with a device of 720p resolution with 5.2" screen, the best you can get is 282 PPI. Reduce that same device to 5" and you get a higher pixel density of 293 PPI.

When you have this forehand knowledge no phone manufacturer can deceive you.

Those ppi are the source of your phone's color production!
Thats why the two phones dont possess the same white background.
Ppi is one of the reasons some details and images look better on some phones than others

PPI is the source of color reproduction?
You obviously do not know what a PPI is or does.

Pixel Density is the resolution of the display divided by the size of the screen which gives you the PPI or Pixels Per Inch. The higher this number is the less pixelation you will see on a screen.
So you see, it has absolutely nothing to do with color reproduction but how crisp and clear a display is.

Color reproduction rests solely on the type and quality of display panel used. ie AMOLED, IPS LCD LTPS TFT etc.
