thedarkside:If the FG refuses a referendum then it all goes to show that what IPOB, MASSOB and others have been saying is true, that Nigeria is an instrument of oppression and subjugation. Anything that seeks to hold people against their will is an instrument of oppression and should be opposed. If Britain that created Nigeria can hold 2 referendums in the last 2 years, one for Scotland and one for the EU, who is the FG to deny the people their right of free choice via a referendum? If the FG keeps its stance then it will have to carry on fighting IPOB, MASSOB, Niger Delta Avengers, MEND and all other organisations who are seeking their right to self determination and this will eventually culminate into a second civil war. Why go down this path when a referendum can solve the issue? Biafra is not about the Igbo man who built a hotel in Kano or another who has a factory in Lagos. It is about the land and freedom. If that Igbo man cares more about his investments than he cares about the freedom of his people, he is a fool. If the referendum fails, then everyone will then continue with 'one Nigeria'. But the people must be given the right that Lord Lugard never gave them, the right to choose if they are Nigerians or not. |

fratermathy:I already told you (your other account?) that there were others here who expressed similar sentiments to me. There's literally been maybe 1 or 2 Igbo posters who've even suggested that Urhobos should be included in our country, the rest have been clear that they do not want them. Just because I've been sitting back while others have been spitting their Igbophobic agendas does not mean that I in any way agree with what they've been saying. I just don't care enough to comment . |

Vulu: OILSOUP:See them so happy and jubilating at the prospects of stealing Urhobo lands. Urhobos would rather be slaves to Yoruba and Hausa than be kings in Igbo land with people we can never ever trust. Never! God forbids! If you doubting my urhoboness, go through my previous threads. Oil igbos open accounts to impersonate other tribes. Urhobos don't. We have better things to do. |
