5 Most Dangerous Hackers Of All Time (with Pictures) by WeFacts: 10:33pm On Nov 19, 2016
Since the beginning of the computer age, we all know there has been some people or the other that are computer genius.

They are good at writing codes. Some of them write codes for the benefits of humanity and are the good guys.

But, some write codes in other to destroy, exploit, or gain access to a particular information. They can literally do anything with codes. These set of people are called Hackers.

Of course there are so many hackers in the world. But, there were some of them that were considered the most dangerous of them all.

I compiled a list of:
5 most dangerous hackers of all time

1 Kevin Mitnick Alias:“The Condor”

Kevin Mitnick is known has the king of all hackers with aliases like “The Condor”. In the late 1970’s he began taking advantage of the system by tricking the Los Angeles bus system to give free ride as he aged Mitnick found his gift for code and began hacking into big name companies like Nokia, Motorola, IBM and eventually the Pentagon.

Millions of dollars of information passed through his hands, before he was finally arrested in 1995. Hardly detained Mitnick went on the run from the FBI for 3 years and was the most wanted computer criminal of his time before he was sentenced to 4 more years in jail.

Mitnick didn’t consider what he was doing as hacking and referred to it politely as social engineering at one point the judge found him so threatening that he placed him in solitary confinement because he felt Mitnick could start a nuclear war by whistling codes into a pay phone

2 Matthew Bevan & Richard Price Aliases: “Kuji” & “Datastream Cowboy”

The dangerous British hacking duo of Matthew Bevan and Richard Price took the world for a potentially deadly ride for several weeks in their youth back in 1994. They began by attacking the pentagon’s network for several weeks and progressed further by stealing battlefield simulations.

As if that wasn’t enough, they started intercepting messages from US agents stationed in North Korea and accessed sensitive materials from a Korean nuclear facility, this was all incredibly alarming to the US, because at the time Price and Bevan were using US systems to infiltrate information from Korean systems which simply put nearly sparked an international incident.

3 Anonymous Hacktivist Group

You’ve probably heard about the infamous Hacktivist group “Anonymous”, sprouting back in 2003 from the breathing grounds of 4chan.org.

Anonymous consist of an unspecified number of politically active hackers. They campaign for internet freedom, social justice and transparency in the law with nothing off limits.

This group has hit the Chinese government, the Vatican, the FBI and CIA, while spending just as much time leaking documents or taking down websites with political intent.

While they may not be monetarily motivated, the information they’ve leaked and the impact they’ve had on cases and cover-ups has been huge.

4 Unknown Name Alias: “Astra”

Little is known about Astra which is the Alias of the notorious hacker who spent half a decade in the mid 2000’s stealing high profile technology data and software.

Astra will quickly sell this information to people and organizations across Brazil, South Africa, the Middle East and the rest of the World. While no one knows how much money he was able to make or where it went but damages he caused where estimated between $250 million and $361 million.

Strangely even after all the distraction caused, Astra was never publicly identified, even when Greek authorities arrested and detained this threatening hacker in 2008.

Speculations and rumours say that he is a 58 year old Greek mathematician and is serving 6 years in jail, somewhere.

5 Gary Mckinnon Alias: “solo”

Gary Mckinnon infiltrated over 97 US military and NASA servers in just a year during 2001. He deleted sensitive data, software and files that caused the US government $ 700,000 dollars in recovery charges due to the severity of the damage.

Confident in his skills Mckinnon taunted the military by posting your security system is crap I am Solo, I will continue to disrupt at the highest levels.

Strangely enough Mckinnon wasn’t in it for any kind on monetary gain and it turns out he was just looking for files containing evidence of extraterrestrial live which according to Mckinnon he found.

All good programmers are Hackers, bro. You should try to read up before posting an authoritative thread about such a technical field of human endeavour.
There are White Hat Hackers ( the good guys who find loop holes in your system and reveal them to you) and Black Hat Hackers ( The ones who break into computer systems and networks for personal gain and evil reasons).

Read up bro...not all Hackers are bad. grin

Hello, you should be the one to do the reading. There are different types of hackers that is sure. The good hackers which you are referring too as the white hat hackers are actually called crackers(they check for vulnerability in any network and then try to fix it, unlike the black hat hackers or hackers who use this information for their own personal gain. You should really do more research on this before condemning my post. Thanks...
