There was a disintegration, though under reported.
Things got so bad that the club banned speaking of French and other foreign languages in the dressing room, because other players felt alienated.

Frimpong was part of the African clique headed by the noisy Emmanuel Eboue.

Frimpong does not speak french.

Can you show evidence of other players feeling alienated?

I agree with Komekn on one thing: Nacho is not an out and out striker. He is a support striker. Same with Isaac Success. Same with Ideye. And Victor Moses, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, and Ahmed Musa are all Attacking Midfielders cum Wingers. Hence, the only top striker we have in the current team is Odion Jude Ighalo. That's where Victor Anichebe comes in. We need Victor to come and fight for the top striker position in this Super Eagles team.

Another thing I like about Victor is that he's one player who leaves it all on the field. He reminds me of Daniel Amokachie. The Super Eagles would be better for it, if Victor clicks with Nacho.

Its good u remember all his chances but how many times has he been open and still not passed the ball? Countless that what. When Kun is not in the match everybody turns into a striker and wants to shoot. I expect Yaya to help him alot in this department and that is why i always wanted him back.

The players created enough chances for him to show there is no ulterior motive against Nacho. It is just that Aguero is a senior player and players pass more to him instead of taking their chances. We see the same at Barcelona with Messi before the arrival of Suarez. I still see City as the best option for Nacho for his growth as a player.

What of Rooney who flourished as a striker for Alex Ferguson? CR7 last week scored a hat trick for Real Madrid playing as a top striker. We do not need a player tagged Natural striker but a top striker converting most chances created.

Pros and Cons of Jordon Ibe for Nigeria
By Colin Udoh

Reports have emerged that Bournemouth winger Jordan Ibe is open to the idea of suiting up in Nigeria – rather than England – colours.
A source close to the Nigerian Football Federation said: “Jordon is willing to listen to what we have to offer. We are hoping he finds the project enticing enough to dump England where he is a youth international and play for Nigeria at senior level.”

But is this good or bad for the Super Eagles? KweséSports’ Colin Udoh investigates …

THREE REASONS WHY NIGERIA SHOULD NOT ACCEPT IBE

The Super Eagles is not a dumping ground for England, or any other country’s rejects. Ibe was unwilling to even consider Nigeria while he thought he still stood a chance with England. The moment his England dreams went up in smoke, he is now “willing to listen”? How can he give 100 percent?

Nigeria has more than enough talent in the wide attacking areas. Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon and Victor Moses are all fighting for two spots in the line-up. Isaac Success can also fit in there, as can youngsters Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi, despite being central strikers.

As long as he continues to insist that his surname is pronounced as ‘ai-b’ rather than ‘e-bay’, he will be the subject of derision anytime he suits up in green and white. In fact, nobody in Nigeria will pronounce his surname as anything other than e-bay!

THREE REASONS NIGERIA SHOULD ACCEPT IBE

Scripture teaches us that prodigal sons are to be welcomed, not have the door shut in their faces. If Ibe has indeed had a change of heart and is willing to commit to the motherland, then why not?

Every extra body counts. Injuries will take their toll, form will dip, and sometimes just about anything can happen in football. Ibe has the quality to at least compete for a place in the Super Eagles team and his additional legs should increase competition.

There is a growing influx of foreign-born players in the Super Eagles. Perhaps now more than ever before. Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi and even Victor Moses, who was raised abroad, are all ‘foreign’ players currently excelling for Nigeria. It is the highest number of these imports ever to start for the Super Eagles. The addition of Tyrone Ebuehi and Jordan Ibe could potentially see the Eagles start with at least five such players. Something to look forward to.

Of course, it all depends on the system you wanna. Take Barca for instance, until Luis Suarez, they have never played with the traditional #9 per se. Rather, they used Messi (later Fabregas) in a position they called a false 9. But sometimes you might wanna employ a natural target man, esp if you wanna play in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 formation.

Please don't go there with barca, every player got a chance to shine even with Messi around. I have seen plenty instances dating backi to last year where Iheanacho was overlooked in a better position. I am talking about stuff i saw with my eyes u can't say they are feeding him the ball.

Iheanacho has played many games as a natural target and did well. I wonder how this idea of not good as a striker came up. Brilliant performance against Aston Villa last season. Had the senior players singing his name is enough to explain this.

Sometimes I'm constrained in what I should say.

What was the nature and substance of the actual request made to Ibe. People are talking entirely on hear say. Assumption not substantiated, just rumour, the idea of prodigal son does not arise.

While on the topic what about Seyi Ojo?

I know Frimpong doesn't speak French. He was part of the African clique they formed.
Adebayor, Touré and Eboué led a clique inside the dressing room, with Alexandre Song the junior partner. It is natural that men from a similar cultural background should connect and spend time in each other's company, but at times the group seemed a little too exclusive for comfort. Song, easily the most improved performer at the club last season, is likely to be the only survivor.

Thanks very much. Means a lot to me but, my Birthday is no more a day for Celebration but a time to reflect. I lost my identical twin brother in 2012.

So, no wine or cake.

Thanks for the well wishes. Means a lot. You guys are the best.
