I think mtn nigeria has given nigerians a head start by informing us about doomsday. Someone should create a petition on the avaaz.org or change.org website let us all sign a petition against this. Why should directive be given to increase price of data. That is not just fair at all

As an insider in one of the GSM companies, i can reliably inform you that data rate will go up 1st December,2016. NCC has mandated all GSM Companies to raise data rates. This is sad, Nigerians should not accept it, Nigerian Government through its agencies should not make life harder for Nigerians!
N1000 Will be 500MB from December 1st 2016.

Correction, this affect only Operators with more than 7.5% market share.

The move is to protect the small players in industry from extinction and of course the jobs

Dominant players won't no longer be allowed to sell below a certain price per kB

It is a good move ,in my opinion to protect the industry. I will rather have 10 players ,rather than 3 few players .

"constant but not heavy Internet data", just how light is that which you feel won't affect you? Pls think properly. Already a lot is wrong with their billing system. I use airtel, usually their 1.5gb on 1k used to see me through 3wks. I thought I could increase the time using the same data allocation by reducing Internet dealings, couldn't even update some of my apps, but I noticed it now barely lasts for two weeks! I've been suspecting fowl play, now this. We are in trouble.

Divide that 1.5 gig by 2, that's what you actually have
750mb. The trick is to give u what looks like plenty data, but they will now increase the billing rate x 2

I know their tricks
