Was there any law prohibiting non Indigenes from seeking to win elective posts in Eastern region.

He was not any kind of official he was a candidate in the election for NCNC and he lost to an INDEPENDENT candidate chosen by the Ikwerres themselves because the Igbos in the dominant NCNC marginalized Ikwerres. If NCNC was democratic why did they not listen to Ikwerres when choosing a candidate??

NCNC even had the rigging machinery in its hands, but never used it. Demonstrating that they were a party with established principles and protocols.

Elugwaraonu won the nominations fair and square, but disgrunted Ikwerre elements decided to stoke the ethnic sentiments, and people bought it at the end.

It does not in any way mean that Elugwaraonu was imposed by NCNC.
