Representation in Eastern House of assembly, was it by appointment or by election?

Was the Elugwaraonu an elected official or was he appointed by Zik?

Was there any law prohibiting non Indigenes from seeking to win elective posts in Eastern region.

These are pertinent questions any neutral observer would ask themselves.

He was not any kind of official he was a candidate in the election for NCNC and he lost to an INDEPENDENT candidate chosen by the Ikwerres themselves because the Igbos in the dominant NCNC marginalized Ikwerres. If NCNC was democratic why did they not listen to Ikwerres when choosing a candidate??

See the fake self-righteous logic you are deploying here. Why are you folk so deceitful. Can't you be truthful once?

Are you literate?
Where did he win
He was imposed as a candidate in the election by the Eboe dominated NCNC and the natives rejected it totally choosing to elect one of their own

You are not wise.

So when Oriji won the party nomination, he was not imposed, because he is Ikwerre, but when Elugwaraonu won, the nomination later, he became " imposed" because he wasn't from Ikwerre?

When NCNC nominated a Fulani for the post of Mayor of Enugu, based on his popularity in the area, were they also imposing Fulani colonialization on Enugu people?

But why did you lie that he won the election??

That is wise?

The evidence that he was imposed is that he lost the election. NCNC was the main party why would it lose to an independent candidate with no party. That is evidence of protest, stop lying to yourself because you are not lying to any other person

NCNC was a national party, not an ethnic one to be held ransome by ethnic jingoism.

How exactly did Igbos marginalize Ikwerres in NCNC?
How many Enugu persons had administered Enugu during the period in discuss? Considering that Ikwerre was still part of the Igbo commonwealth in the era in discuss.

Parties lose elections. Rookies have won giants time and time again.

NCNC even had the rigging machinery in its hands, but never used it. Demonstrating that they were a party with established principles and protocols.

Elugwaraonu won the nominations fair and square, but disgrunted Ikwerre elements decided to stoke the ethnic sentiments, and people bought it at the end.

It does not in any way mean that Elugwaraonu was imposed by NCNC.

NCNC never rigged?? You see that is why no one ever takes you people seriously. You lie like children and you believe your own lies

Are you an illiterate ? What is a general election? It is an election in which the people vote as distinct from the kind of election that produces a senate president.
Was the post of Mayor voted for by the public? is my question. If you do not know educate your self.

You are the one that wants us to believe there was a contest in which Eboes chose a Fulani as Mayor, Next thing you will tell us Nigerians voted Zik as President

This was your first post. "elective office" is the bone of contention here.

And the answer is yes! It's an elective post. You have to be elected by a people elected by the people.

Stop running around in cycles.

This thread was created by the Lagos/Ibadan expressway media gang to perpetrate divide and rule. No one should fall for it.

These same people who cannot tell the difference between the names Elechi Amadi in the book and Elechi Martin, former Ebonyi state Governor. If you ask any of these Yorubas who are on this thread to cause confusion what 'Elechi' means, they wont be able to answer. But they will come here to say they are an authority on differentiating ethnic groups.
