I don't know what these people were thinking about before making such comment on exporting rice. Rather we should for a start be thinking about self sufficiency and sustainability of the program before export. Na wa oo |
Re: Nigeria’ll Begin Rice Export Next Year, Says CBN by FavoredGuy: 7:57am On Nov 30, 2016 |
Is CBN in the best position to say such thing. Are they in charge of food production and export regulation/control? Please we have not attained self-sufficiency in rice production. So it's out of place to begin to talk of rice exportation now. |
Re: Nigeria’ll Begin Rice Export Next Year, Says CBN by Nobody: 7:59am On Nov 30, 2016 |
So these people are hoarding local produce from farmers so they can export it,rather than releasing it to the market for its citizens to consume. They are more interested in making money for the government than feeding it's citizens. This can be best explained using a case of a farmer who harvest his yams and put it's in a ban waiting for market day to sell them, while his children starve, he claims he will use the proceeds of the sale to cater for his children, but what will happen if they die of hunger before the market day? All this policies of this government has always been in the interest of the government first, but I thought government was created to Carter for and seek the interest of its citizens, seems the reverse is the case, na wah o, they are more interested in earning foreign exchange to fund their fat salaries and flamboyant life style than the people, it's alright |

2dugged: Why are all of you like this? Didn't you see this; He said already the rice harvest this year had exceeded projections, noting that IF the tempo was sustained, by the end of 2017, Nigeria would not only meet its national demand, but would export the produce to other countries. Perhaps you couldn't comprehend that, we have a long way to go with these kind of citizens sharing the country with me. |
