A Christian court and a Bible constitution? LOL

If from one book, we have so many churches proliferating every space on the earth surface like a malignant tumour; imagine if such a book would be used as a criteria for judging....

How many courts would we be expecting per church?

The Bible is too subjective a book, that's why the Nigerian space is currently suffering from Church Encroachment. If such a book is used for judiciary purpose, a case would thrive till eternity, owing to the differences in understanding and interpretation of just one single portion.

And secondly, every denomination would be loyal only to their own courts.
Thirdly, this would lead to more turbulence in Christendom.

The mainstream judiciary system is already 'Christianish' in nature... Adding one more wouldn't change the face of law in Nigeria.

But who asked for a christian court? who will be the judge? what law will they use? and what kind of offence will be prosecuted and punishable under the law? where else in the world do they have this kind of court? These and many more are the questions nigerians need to ask this fellows.
Our leaders keep chasing shadows when there are more important issues to deliberate and legislate upon. They have thrown their reasoning and the love of Nigerians to the dogs for the satisfaction of the interest of a common few.
Christianity preaches tolerance, forgiveness, kindness and patience. So i wonder why they want to revert us back to the old testament laws of an eye for an eye. The bible emphasized forgiveness to those who tresspass against you even as your heavenly father will also forgive you.

So, the legion of traditional worshipers too can as well come up with their traditional courts bill, shey? Why? Why? Why? Why is this country walking facing backward? We have a Constitution that is there to guide all of us irrespective of your religion, tribe, e.t.c Why do we need religion courts? It is totally wrong for us to have allowed sharia court in the constitution to start with. Christian law makers should seek to remove sharia from the constitution rather than adding to the confusion with the christian court bill. angry

majority in Oyo are Christians, while 80% of Lagosians are Christians e.g Igbo, urhobos, edo and all those non-yorubas who reside in Lagos alongside the christian Yorubas who already outnumber the Muslims.

Why Christians should reject the bill for a Christian court in Nigeria

1. It is Satan's approach

Christians setting up a court for themselves is equivalent to dumping God's provided way of doing things and adopting Satan's approach. God has made it clear that we should settle our disputes in the church and it should be done by the elders.

1 Corinthians 1:6
If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord's people?

2. Its result won't help christianity

The result of Nigeria having a Christian court won't help the christian course it might pose to want to help. It's the same way Christian churches build universities that are of no help to Christianity but a business venture that the poor cannot partake in. We've all seen the huge mistake of Christian churches owning schools. The call for a Christian court, by a few, is almost like calling for Christians to have their own Armed Forces. Christianity does not operate like the world does.

3. We never clamoured for it

I can't seem to see where Christians clamoured for a Christian court, the equivalent of a Muslim Sharia court. Then why is a certain house of representative, Hon. Gyang Dung, pushing this bill in the National Assembly? Have we told him that we are fed up of God's own approach to doing things and now want to set up our own worldly way?

4. It is a ploy to push a hidden agenda

The bill passed a 2nd reading. Once this bill is passed into law, it will definitely amend the constitution of the nation. This is exactly what the Sharia proponents have been able finding difficult to achieve. Amending the constitution will see the christian court to appear in all states of the federation, even in the core northern states. This is something Muslims will take advantage of by pushing for a Sharia court bill, which if passed, will allow Sharia to get out of its caged hole in the Muslim north and spread to the christian south, a thing it seriously desires. It means that Christians have foolishly helped what they fear, simply because they failed to adhere to their God's standard which is settling disputes in the church and by elders, not in a court.

5. The court will be useless in Nigeria

It will be useless in the South because true Christians are ordered to forgive each other and not strive against each other. This will make the courts have less cases to settle. What about in the North? We are already seeing churches getting burnt in the North. Such courts will hold no value over there cos the illiterate Northerners won't mind discarding whatever judgment it issues as long as it doesn't favour their fellow Muslim. But if their Sharia court should have access to the south, a northerner based in the south will prefer to take a case against a Christian to Sharia courts instead of a secular court. The sad part is that the case will go through proceedings without interference, unlike in the north where an angry illiterate mob can disrupt proceedings of a Christian court just as we see them burn churches who worship on Fridays.

6. Our clamour is for the abolishment of religious courts

This is what Hon Gyang Dung should be pushing in the National Assembly. The current Sharia courts do not favour people of other religion when they are dragged to it. This could be attributed to a word in their Quran which says Muslims are to be kind with one another but harsh or severe to the unbelievers.

Quran 48:29
Mohammed is the messenger of Allah and those with him are HARSH against the DISBELIEVERS but MERCIFUL among THEMSELVES.

But I can assure you that Muslims will get fair justice if dragged to the proposed Christian court, cos Christians are God's children who should be like God who show no partiality.

English Standard Version
Romans 2:11
"For God shows no partiality."

Every Christian should rise up against this bill cos it doesn't represent Christianity but a dark force with an aim of luring Christians away from their God provided standard.

Wake up man, sharia courts have come to stay and there's absolutely NOTHING you or I can do about it. Every Nigerian is free to chose whichever court he /she wishes to have disputes settled.
We already have the conventional courts for all, the Sharia courts for the Muslims and the Customary courts for the traditionalists, thus, it is only proper to also establish Christian courts for the christians as well.
BTW, the Ecclesiastical courts are to be guided by the tenets of the christian faith on civil matters e.g issues pertaining to marriage, family disputes, inheritance, e.t.c.

Read my previous posts and discern the benefits of what I will derive from it, quit mentioning my post and go read your bible. If your God is a secular God, feel free to accept secular court system but if given a choice I will definitely go for a Christian court. And for all you spiritually baren Christians who do not know that the Holy spirit is a counselor and a guide that can give proper wisdom, knowledge and understanding to those who will preside over Christian court, you should all be ashamed to call yourselves Christians.
You sound sick. Go read your Bible to know if there's anything like Christian court. Even Bible says dispute should be settled by the elders. Establishing the so called Christian court will give the Muslims the boldness to bring back their Sharia law. May God give you knowledge and understanding.

My brother I don't think we are on the same spiritual wavelength here, maybe you need to read your bible first before you form any stance. Go and read 1 corinthians 6:1 thoroughly, A Christian court will have Christians presiding over it and not Muslims or any other religions, this is what makes it a Christian court, who are you then to call them ungodly?
A Christian Court is no where in the Bible so why do we need on now.... study the word of God with the aid of the Holy not carnally

This kind of shit is what happen when Christians start acting outside the scripture. What is Jesus even saying about lawsuits? What does he says when you are slapped on cheek, or when your coat is taken... The Church is a standard! That is the mind of God (of course, we now have alot of wolves in the church)!

The CHURCH is the standard for the world... That is the will of God! Christians have started majoring on the minor and minoring on the major....

Christians are too ignorant. Nigerian Constitution mentioned Islam over 30 times, has nothing pertaining to your Christian belief. There are Sharia Courts where Muslims are paid to man, administer and do whatever pleases them. They re paid salaries and allowances, have thousands of staff all over Nigeria for just being Muslims, some Christians in the National Assembly now want to give u a court, even if they don't do anything let them employ Christians and pay them salaries to be idle like most people in Sharia courts are and you are complaining? Fools !
