This Islamic regime of Buhari is up to something. Has Christians in Nigeria cry for a court? The Bible is against going to court. there is hidden agenda somewhere. |

alBHAGDADI: Religious courts generally try civil cases, that is matters which concern relations between individuals in a society, thus it really comes down to the preferences of he involved individuals. To deprive people of recourse to religious courts when their religion prescribes such would be to prevent them from exercising their faith to a reasonable degree. Especially so in deeply religious African societies. |
Re: Why Christians Should Reject The Bill For A Christian Court In Nigeria by alBHAGDADI: 12:52pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
NgcoboP:We are no longer under the mosaic laws, cos we have been redeemed by Grace. So this Christian court is not necessary. A Christian court will throw a Christian prostitute into jail if it should practice the mosaic law, unlike Christ who forgave Mary Magdalene that was about to be stoned for prostitution. Romans 6:4 "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." |

SmartyPants:Even though Islam prescribes such, Christianity doesn't prescribe a religious court. Having one is equal to dumping God and being judges over ourselves. |

IT written that before we go to coult we should settle on the way . We are here for eternal life lets not bring the worldly affair into the church . |
Re: Why Christians Should Reject The Bill For A Christian Court In Nigeria by Nobody: 12:56pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
alBHAGDADI: Using the Christian court will be optional and not compulsory, it will always be presided over by Christians and the bible will be a moral standard for it. Basically, it will be mainly for mediation which is what is preached in the new testament. For more difficult cases like murder I'm very sure the Lord will provide the wisdom for such cases to be judged appropriately and the culprits will definitely be sent to jail so you need to broaden your mind. 1 Like |

Sasuwa:Dear lady, it now obvious that you are the one just going to church but not a doer of God's word, cos you do not know that we are no longer under the mosaic law cos we have been bought by Grace. Romans 6:4 "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." |

alBHAGDADI: Disputes will definitely arise even amongst Christians and the best judges to settle such cases should be Christian too and where else can we ensure this than in a Christian court. Stop this unnecessary propaganda of yours 1 Like 1 Share |

Pidgin2:What you are saying is that we should abandon God's word and do what we feel is right even though the Bible doesn't support it. The Bible kicks against such. 2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" Christians like you are now telling us to go after a lust of competition with Muslims, even when our holy book never prescribed such for us. |

This is just a ploy to push forward an hidden agenda , if this should be done (God forbid) we'll we what happens next. They'll tell you shebi you have your own court why can't we legalise - underage marriage - amnesty for boko haram - boko haram should be tried in a particular court - blasphemy is against a particular religion, the list is endless Its just a pity Nigerian government is just stupid , the government should have no business with religion at all . God help this country 1 Like 1 Share |

This is not necessary. Is this what Jesus taught us? We are in the last days for real. |
Re: Why Christians Should Reject The Bill For A Christian Court In Nigeria by SmartyPants(m): 1:01pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
alBHAGDADI: I said this in response to your saying that we should not have religious courts at all. I am not in support of a Christian court. However your last line raises the question: is it not men that God uses to judge us as Christians? He has given us earthly leaders so your conclusion there is wrong and i cannot see how you arrived at that. The formation of a Christian court simply would mean that your pastor or other respected Christian leader can give you a judgement that carries enforceable authority. And if you feel like you don't want to be judged in that way, you can opt out of appearing before the Court, appeal their judgments at the secular courts or better still, agree with your adversary before getting to court. 1 Like |

Pidgin2:Such disputes are already being settled in churches and by the elders. Why set up a court? The people that brought Christianity here, do they have such court in their own country? victorazy:The Lord's people are the elders of the church. The people that will be appointed judges in the proposed Christian courts will be under the jurisdiction of the Government. So, they no longer belong to Christ, but only paying lips service. |

Re: Why Christians Should Reject The Bill For A Christian Court In Nigeria by Nobody: 1:08pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
alBHAGDADI: I am saying Christians should carry their disputes to a Christian court where their issues will be heard and judged by fellow Christians. This is according to 1 corinthians 6 :1, also in acts 6:1-7 deacons were appointed to settle disputes amongst believers. The more you argue the more I sense you might be a mole even your moniker does not seem Christian but I hope not |

But I don't think ur a christian because u quote Bible verses u don't really know the meaning or interpretation (no offense) Stop this argument because is diminishing ur image and personality. Christians needs the court and using the God's law in the bible as moral standard not as ordinary law as u tamed or understood it. 1 Like |

alBHAGDADI: What manner of hogwash!!!...You will just wake up and go and quote verses from the Qur'an and due to your bigotted, wicked and divisive mindset, you will deliberately ignore verses of the Qur'an that admonish Muslims never to harm their neighbours. Even the verse you quoted from the Qur'an, the preceding or succeeding verses preach peace but of course it will be too much for you to refer to them "But I can assure you that Muslims will get fair justice if dragged to the proposed Christian court, cos Christians are God's children who should be like God who show no partiality" says who? If you in particular were to be God's child, you wont deliberately set about misinforming people or spreading ignorance just to malign Islam...I just wonder what you guys' problem really is....Sharia Courts came up, you shouted it was an attempt to Islamize Nigeria, Christians courts came up, you still blame Muslims and Islam...What is it sef? 6 Likes |
