Their problem is not knowing the meaning of auction but is not having money and even the little kobo they manage to have, they don't even know how to spend it.....

So you think someone that spent 52m at auction has little money? Wonderful!

I consider this a worthy investment..... it is not much different to shelling out for a Picasso or Vincent Van Gogh art
It is something which will go up in value in the future if Tunde keeps it well and decides to auction off
A lot of the moro....ns commenting on this thread in the negative dont have a fuc...king clue, which is understandable because of their poverty mindset! grin

Well you are not wrong but spending it on Old masters Paintings is better, tell me which gallery in the world would he sell this in the future, UK, US, or France.
He has just bought something to decorate his home and since he has not used anyone's money but his, Na him own headache.

This is a collector item. It can be sold in another auction on future for triple of his value. Get educated, it's business.

Some peeps on this thread say an igbo man can never do this, but the reasoning above is akin to an igbo man.

What you people fail to understand is the fact he has made a very wise investment moreover he was not the only one that was ready to buy it many peoples lease signified their intention to get the guitar from 9 million to 52million naira which means there were people ready to pay 50milliom for the artifact. Between this guitar and flower vase which one is better and you will see the flower vase below cost 53million dollars and u are complaining of an investment less than 100000dollars that could fetch him millions of dollars in future

well seeing this is a famous artist..
the 52million is a worthy investment.
convert to dollars you will see it is cheap
rich people don't think the way we do..
have you heard of peles memorabilia being auctioned last year
and paintings costing millions of dollars bought up

this is just one of the idiosyncrasies of being rich
regular joes like you and me think about cars and houses.
the rich think about buying up arts

Who told you?KSA is valued abroad,He's one of the fathers of world music. He has had opportunities to stay in the US. You think it's like Nigeria that we don't value arts?

He is the son of Wahab Folawiyo the founder of Folawiyo Group of companies..They are into oil and gas.

This is understating the facts and putting it mildly. He inherited a vast fortune, true, but Tunde has escalated his inheritance to unbelievable heights. I am dead cert that he is now a dollar billionaire in unreported net worth, with a richly diversified portfolio of money spinning investments in different sectors - telecommunications, oil and gas, shipping, banking, properties, etc etc etc. He has the proverbial oil well that would never dry up in his lifetime, no matter how 'wasteful' he is.

This dude easily rakes in millions of dollars monthly. Now tell me how much change, in dollars, that he spent on KSA's guitar again.

American billionaire Paul Allen bought Jimmy Hendrix's guitar for about $1.2m back in 1993.

Being so pathologically broke and unenlightened... Poor in mind, body, and spirit, all the whiners here would never understand how and why wealthy people spend money on the things that interest them.

That's impossible. And for his spending being a waste, I can as well say you shouldn't have bought the smartphone you are using right now. You should have used the money to feed 10 nursery school student during break time for one month. Going back to him buying the guitar, do you have an idea the big investment of capital this man just made? I guess you don't...if you did, you won't have said what you said.
