An audio tape made available to Politics Nigeria indicates the Rivers state governor, Nyesom wike solicited to bribe INEC officials in the last Rivers rerun elections.

The calls reveal how the governor was arranging with INEC officials, particularly those sent from Plateau State, to rig the election for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in local government areas like Ikwerre, etche etc.

In One of the calls, wike can be heard speaking to a female INEC official who was disgruntled with the amount offered by the governor for the rigging job. Wike explodes saying that he has paid the electoral coordinator.

At a certain point in the phone conversation, Wike can be heard threatening to kill an electoral officer who refused to sign a result sheet. He is heard demanding back the money he paid the official, adding that if the official tried to double cross him, he would not leave Rivers state ‘alive’.

This blood chilling conversation gives one a view into the dirty world of Nigerian politics.

Just like there are softwares that can clone someones voice there are softwares that can recognize voice cloning and verify voice identity so there is really no way for Wike to hide.

I didn't hear any threat of killing there. In fact that warning is more innocent than the dog and baboon bloody fest I heard from someone else.

To say a voice recording of a sitting Governor threatening to kill INEC officials is nothing is really pathetic. Your naive partisanship has blinded you. Courts use voice recordings as evidence all the time. And as I stated before, voice recognition software can easily prove that the recording is him or not. Please get your head out of the toilet....
