Deeper Life Finally Completes Its Headquarters Church Which Is The World's 4th Largest Auditorium

Deeper Life Bible Church has finally completed its headquarters church valued at over N5 billion ($11 million) in Gbagada.

The 30,000 capacity church project had gone on for about 13 years managed by Cappa and D'alberto.

The project which was initially scheduled to last 8 years had been billed for completion in 2012 but the church suffered some setbacks. It is now the 4th largest completed church auditorium in the world.

Nigeria presently has a plethora of mega church buildings under construction, all of which rank among the largest in the world. The MFM Temple with a capacity of 500,000, Faith Theatre which is 100,000, Salvation Ministries-90,000, The Great Tabernacle of The Apostolic Faith Mission-75,000 and The Lords Garden of Dunamis International Christian Centre-70,000 are all under construction and are billed to be the five largest auditoria in the world in that order when completed.

Deeper Life Church has built numerous secondary schools, a newly completed university recently approved and also constructing a 130,000 capacity conference centre (Deeper Life Conference Centre) at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Thank God that Nigerian is known for large churches. Great Britain was and is still known for their cathedrals. To become a city in the UK it must have a cathedral.

Nigeria and its mega church buildings. while its good to have mega church auditoria, emphasis should rather be on spiritual upliftment of members. also, churches should rather focus more on trying to improve on the welfare of members rather than trying to outdo each other in terms of who has the biggest building

The manner in which church build gigantic building this days make me doubt the pastors still believe in going to heaven.

I wonder why people are spending large amounts of money on erecting church structures that wouldn't be of any help to the society and people around. These churches take from the people without giving back, even going ahead to beat the tax collector at his own game, and in turn, cause noise pollution, offer false hope and breed hatred among citizens.

Wouldn't it be wise if these funds are instead utilised in building hospitals, schools, constructing good roads e.t.c whose benefits are visible to all? Sigh.

Jesus said "For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always" (John 12:8.)

Even were we are poor in local currency we are not necessarily poor in international/heavenly currency. The poor is actually rich in all things in Christ.
