Without wasting much time on stories, Clinton11 contacted me for an amazon gift card worth of $300 and I told him that he would have to answer my questions first before I will buy from him which he did. I also told him that he would send the card first then I will redeem the code before crediting his account and he accepted. He forwarded both the code and his account details but surprisingly this guy sent an already used amazon gift card to me. However, I didn't take it as anything as that was my first time of experiencing such so I told him to check the code he sent to me very well and he claimed that he sent the correct code. I reentered the code and behold the same error **Card has been redeemed by another account** I told clinton11 to find out from whoever that gave him the card if he has loaded the card but instead this guy was screaming in my ears to pay him his money that I have loaded the card in another account and was claiming otherwise. He requested for evidence that the card has been redeemed by another account and I gave him the screenshot and asked him to contact amazon that I will also contact amazon believing I was dealing with a genuine person. After sending the screenshot to him , this characterless human being said amazon told him that I did not display my details on the screenshot I sent to him and he cannot see my details on the screenshot and I became curious and I asked him if is my details that is important to him or getting information from amazon on who loaded the card; the guy said my details is also important. Immediately he said that I realized that I was dealing with a crook all these while as what the guy wanted was to get my details then configure a fake email coming from amazon thereby authorizing me to pay clinton11 as my gift card payment is pending just like they always do to white merchant on ebay/paypal. I waited for him to get back to me on what amazon said he never did, instead he kept disturbing me to pay his money. I decided to have a chat with amazon only to find out that he had redeemed the card for days before sending it to me. please check page 486 and 487 of this thread where I alerted people on his motive. Immediately clinton11 saw that I had put out a warning on his name on nairaland, he replied me on whatsapp that I should delete his name/number from nairaland that he just found out that he gave me the wrong card. Remember, this was the same person that was shouting that I should pay him his money.

I quickly asked him for his nairaland monicker and he told me without realizing I had figured out his motive. A little research on his account shows that the guy who claims his name is obinna also said his name is Tobi on this thread

Moving on to another thread, you will see his character and the character of the person he claimed to have sold the $400 here were been questioned on a related issue.

I was like so if I had paid him before sending the code to me then my money would have gone. Clinton11 go and dial another number, you might be lucky next time. your brother in crime you sent to pretend as an amazon seller has also failed.


After his case, I have had other issues with other people sending redeemed card by mistake or probably their friends loaded without their knowledge and they ended up sending it to me; I never saw theirs as anything because we all worked together to get who redeemed the card or they found out on their own.

Be wise all, don't allow people to use your head, dem plenty for here.

Note- you can always find out who and when the card was redeemed from amazon, just chat with them and they will spill the beans.
