It depends on the culture of the organization but it is better to err on the side of caution by being moderate. But why "plenty of beards"?

A question for "job seekers".

As for someone like me who is a "career seeker", I can care less what someone else thinks of my facial appearance.

I grow my beards as my religion dictates.....and wear my trousers above my ankles..and by Allah's grace, I have never gone to an interview without getting the job...resumed another work this December...when you are an asset....your beards would be the last thing recruiters look at...

my NKST Church has banned the beard gang from it's Communion. Y all this persecution

I remember when I wanted to have my SIWES in one of the major insurance company, my bro sent me to the MD, the MD said he would have naturally took me to the HR that day, but I will need to shave my bears(And my bears ain't that much) if I want to stand a chance...

Some people want to make yanga and be doing beard gand.So imagine this was really an interview is "Bear" the correct spelling? @ OP if I was the interviewer and your spelling was this poor,with the way u poorly constructed this your English I would ask security to walk u out of my presence in fact the interview can't last more than 5mins. Rubbish!!!!

English na ur language? Why Una dey like judge people. You are a white man worshipper because you will not walk a white man out of your office if he showed up with a beard. The fact say u no get beards no mean say you go hate.... Keeping beard isn't dirty....na God create am...provided its not unintentionally unkempt or dirty... Go and sleep. Employee of the year.

Nothing, if it is well groomed. Some companies do not employ bearded men on their production lines (such as hotels or food industries) probably for fear of stray beard hair (some give out beard masks, like hair caps). Personally, I would prefer employing a bearded person, given otherwise equal qualifications, it implies a certain independence and strength of character to me.

that was exactly what i did

i was so neatly shaven..no hair on the face whatsoever when i started going for interview and did the pre-employment training
who knows who might just get irritated and at that stage you dont want to risk being disliked for the slightest of reasons
but immediately i got my offer letter, i resumed membership in the beard gang..last last they will complain and i will remove it
but so far,nobody has complained
infact i get compliments for it here and there...

Yea that's the right way to go about it. A beard will always grow back no matter how many times a man shares it.

You want to go and look for a job with an english/white man but u can't speak/spell in their language rather u will prefer to carry your dirty scruffy looking beards before him in an interview. Clap for yourself cave man

talking about keeping beards for interview. have any of you seen or have been barbed by an aboki? thats the kind of cut i go for. just this week i was invited for an interview which i went with my cut molo with my goatee to compliment the molo, after the written interview i was called up for the oral interview,the moment i entered the board room the presumed HR kept starring at my goatee after perusing my resume the slowpoke opened his gutter to tell me pls am sorry Mr. Chris we cant employ you because ikoyi(which is were i stay) is far from lekki( which is were the company is) is a long far distance they think i will have challenges with transportation. Can you imagine
