Ekoishome: thats a good idea Mr Ekoishome, First we commence with a facebook group page. but im still suggesting Young Nigerian Political Leaders Alliance ( A body ) then our party should be NIRA. we need something very simple to pronounce, I can get the logo done. and our mantra ready. but first lets start with a facebook group. the purpose of the group should be all interested member should get familiarized with each other. 1 Like |

Are you young, verile and below 55yrs Are you a proffessional and politically savvy? Then follow the link below; WHAT WE MUST DO NOW It is important to give this short briefing. You see, we intend to do things much differently from before, and to learn from the experiences of those who have gone before us. Some ground rules will be entrenched and will soon be codified: 1. We want people who have jobs or businesses, and not 'professional politicians' to vie for offices at all levels. 2. We want to try and limit the ages of those we put forward within constitutional requirements but also below 55. We think that is fair enough. We want young people but we will not rub it in and engage in anti-ageism. We must guard against being seen as unnecessarily exuberant hotheads. 3. We want to promote the involvement of women and young people in politics and administration and so will encourage them to step forward... with their ideas. We believe the best ideas reside in this demographic. 4. Anyone's claim to fame will not be their comments on Facebook or elsewhere, but how much commitment they have shown in growing the party. For now, acquisition of state offices is of paramount importance. Those who will take charge of states must be able to sponsor the rentals and employment of staff for at least one year. Online and offline registration will commence within the week. 5. We want people of modest means in our party; self-made people preferably, with verifiable businesses or careers. We are not after moneybags. We are also not a platform for the perpetuation of poverty and despondency. We shall encourage ALL who choose to join us to get something going. We are fiercely independent and this must show in everything we do. 6. This party is about SACRIFICE. We dont want people who are seeking for quick money and benefits on board. Anyone coming with the mindset of "chop-and-quench", or "kill-and-divide", will not be recognized and will be watched keenly. 7. The political process is fraught with intrigues. We expect to have disrupters, hecklers, agents of detractors and so on. We wish to operate a very open system of camaraderie but we are also aware that it will not be smooth sailing. To that extent, those seen to be deliberately disruptive will be shown the door. We will run a tight ship here. No weak leadership. The rules will be reviewed from time to time. After we solidify structures we will be governed strictly by our constitution. By all means, this is about making a difference in our country and in the lives of our countrymen and women. Ours is not a vision for immediate benefits but for the future of our great country and its people. It is an effort to try and organize ourselves and break the jinx whereby it is believed that after the frontrunners who have always organized themselves since the colonial days, the subsequent generations cannot. The inability to ORGANISE has got us to a point where our lives are careening out of control, and we are faced with existential issues even as our affairs have been piloted by people who had everything at their behest in their prime. Our mantra for now is RENEWAL. RENAISSANCE. RESPECT! https://www.facebook.com/tope.fasua/posts/1401924173159263

It's noble, doable and needed. The modalities might be cumbersome considering most youths are green horns and lack the financial, political and social muscle usually required. However, do Nigeria youths actually possess the integrity and strength not to be easily bought over by those we are trying to oust? Take university student unions as examples |

Nairaland is composed of better educated people than for a few power hungry people who wants to pull the wool over our faces... I'm glad there is still hope, there is hope, and plenty too... But come to think of it,now that the youths are set to take over power from the "old brooms," they will start grumbling because they see success as an unpardonable sin against their fellow man... |
Re: What Does It Take To Register A Political Party? by samhay: 5:16pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
Out of frustration about events in the country, I posted this on my Facebook wall on the 27th November I do warn my friends each time we joke not to 'spoil my name' because I cherish it and I have political ambition, I think the time is now. After Leicester won the EPL earlier this season, I thought it's the last controversial news we will hear this year. Before you could say JACK BAUER, BREXIT happened and the last event that proved to me that anything is possible is the U. S. A election which Donald J. Trump won against all odds. Immediately the election result was announced foremost and renowned comedian @Basketmouth and @SeyiLaw declared their intention to run for the presidency in the year 2019, After deep thought in my inner chamber, I won't lie and tell you my people has chosen/nominated me to run like most politicians say I am boldly coming out to put myself up as a Presidential candidate for the 2019 election. Watch this space for my immediate plans Below are my immediate focus for the 1st 100days in office tagged: RELAYING THE FOUNDATION. ➡ I will first scrap both The Senate and House of Reps. ➡ I will then suspend the constitution, and order all local council to nominate 1person to represent them at the federal level for 2 months. Their duty is to formulate another constitution. ➡ All politicians and whoever hold a political office from 1979 till date will be arrested and tried for treason/corruption and be prosecuted, if found guilty all his/her fortune will be consfiscated , and jailed based on the constitution (No room for long term adjournment) It must start and end within 2 months ➡ I will suggest the removal of immunity clause from the new constitution and recommend life imprisonment or death sentence for all corrupt public office holder; ➡ No more political appointment whatsoever, All appointments shall be advertised in the dailies and people bid for it including ministers and advisers. ➡ Huge maximum prison will be built in a the 6 regions to accommodate new criminals to be convicted,no more VIP prison, all convicts on death roll beyond 10yrs shall be re-tried. if still found guilty, immediate execution and if not, they will be set free. thereby decongesting our prisons. ➡ Immediate warning to all past leaders and past office holders that their suggestions is not needed in my Government. They have done enough of that. (NOW IS TIME FOR THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW) ➡ Minimum wage will increased to 50,000 but all public office holder will not earn above #70,000 since it is a call to serve. ➡ Recall all ambassadors representing us outside the country back home, CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. ➡ All office holders are not allowed to travel out of the country without a tangible reason and their itinerary must be sent to the federal government. ➡ After the tenure of any public office holder, they must surrender themselves to be investigated. Any office holder that did not fulfill 70% of his/her campaign promises should be executed immediately. AFTER ALL THESE HAS ACHIEVED IN THE 1st 100days ➡ I would decentralize the government so every region would cater for its power supply and micro economy, 10% of their internally generated revenue should go to the Federal purse These are some of the immediate agenda that I want to work on. Long-term Policies will be declared soon Watch this space....... Let's Relay The Foundation Long Live Mcayofficial!!! Long Live Naija Youths!!! Long Live Federal Republic Of Nigeria!!! 5 Likes |

samhay:the problem is not we putting much effort to break out, I am very optimistic that we can do that. my problem however, is that these bunch of criminals will try to infiltrate us by planting moles in our midst. just like somebody pointed out, money is very important in setting up a STRONG political party. we will need sponsors to bank roll us and that's where those criminals will come in. |
