Russia knows that outside Syria, Turkey is one the same page with them especially when it comes to trade. That's why Putin won't take drastic actions against Turkey.

I am in no way in support of radical extremist behaviour as I believe in a dialogue-first approach in conflict resolution. But when Russia got intentionally entangled in the political affairs and conflicts of the unstable Syria, it is as if the government was begging to become a target for extremists. It is unfortunate that victims of these violent extremist attacks will be the innocent Russians who were probably against the pro-Syria military policy of Vladimir Putin, and not Putin himself along with members of his Security council. The level of human right abuses and war crimes committed by Russia in Aleppo is so damning that it bothers me why the UN have not taken significant action against Russia. As you lay your bed, so you will lie on it. They started in Ukraine. Now Syria. All former Soviet Nations sharing boundaries with Russia are on high military alert. NATO is beefing up its regional military capabilities. All this because of one power-drunk man, Putin. He's using Syria as testing ground for new military strategies and artilleries. His aggressive stance will put his country in serious trouble...
