Nigerian Police Is Not Your Friend. by Soteriahascome: 8:51pm On Dec 20, 2016
Police stopped me at festac Lagos, they searched my wallet and later asked me to unlock my phone for another searching. It was about 40 minutes of searching my phone and reading my Whatsapp and Facebook messages that he concluded that I do G. I was confused because I don't really get them. He started talking to his colleagues in yoruba and he finally said that I dey do work. I finally understood that they were referring to me as a yahoo boy. He started asking me questions about Bitcoin transactions that he saw in my phone and the bank transfer screenshots. That was when I understood the whole thing. They took me to their office at Area E festac headquarters and forced me to write statement which I declined and demanded to see my lawyer. At this point, they became annoyed and started saying things like, see this ITK boy oo. After all, I was forced to write statement which I wrote carefully and after the useless statement. They started talking of settlement. That i should settle them and go. I remembered how corrupt this country is and was helpless. I opened my wallet for them and showed them the only 1k in my pocket, they asked me to go to the bank and get money to settle them. {imagine}. Besides, I saw how they manipulate innocent citizens in that their hellish office. They would stop you at the road; whether you are on bike or bus or even private and start searching everything on you. If you are not corrupt enough to settle them on the search point, they take you to their miserable office. And continue the manipulate. Afterwards, they collected my only 1k I had on me and returned my phone... Nigerian Police are criminals. Black devils. This is what they do to Innocent citizens everyday... From today, I won't be going out with my smart phone. I will only go out with my Nokia touch... Pls share to your friends, maybe it would save someone from their demonic nets. They are animals in the zoo looking for prey... Corruption and Nigerian police are inseparable.

Don't just complain here, spread the news so that it won't happen to you or any other person next time.
This is their twitter handle: @PoliceNG, you can also visit their website www.npf.gov.ng and send an email to their headquarters to investigate the matter. Most of the time when people report, they sack those corrupt officers. I know many poeple who have left the police force for corruption-related offenses.

It's those idiots among them that give them a bad image, there are responsible and God-fearing policemen out there willing to do their work 24/7.

The duty of every police man is to protect the people.
I wonder why some of them do otherwise.

One of d reasons why Police uniforms bear name tags is for such a case like this, when ever things like this happen just try and get d name(s) of the erring officer(s) n d division u were taken to and I bet u d officer will be fished out n tried, I found guilty, I bet u he will be punished accordingly. When next such happens, try n get a helpful info n forward to d CRU unit of d force and wait to see what will happen next.
Sorry about that.
Btw, how does dat bitcoin thing work sef?

My brother this people are so unfriendly to me, very hostile. All they want is for me to settle them. I told them that I am a student and I backed it with my student ID. They seized my phone and was rejecting my calls, they denied me the opportunity of calling my people. Oga, I still demand justice because they took money from me in pretense. They collected my pocket money. They are criminals.
Anyways, send me mail and I teach you all you need to know about Bitcoin.

They maltreated me, even if I don't get justice; let Nigerians know and learn how to handle such situation.
I told them to let me call my people, they declined because they knew that I am innocent but couldn't just let me go. I was forced to pay them before I was let go
