My dad has beetle then which I always have during the holiday cos he use to take me to sagamu for holiday . The Nissan is used for transport in my area #5 to #10 .

These are vintage cars! Beetle aka Azubuike, Peugeot 504 and 505 cars, including Volvo 240 ruled Nigerian roads in da days. Infact, Peugeot 504 and 505 saloon cars were once official vehicles of top government officials, including High Court Judges at the time. The poster forgot to add Citroen and Peugeot 404, though.

When i was a kid i feared Volvo because it was mostly used to carry dead bodies!

Same with me o. I fear that car ehen. the sound is also scaring. I used to hid myself whenever the beast is passing.

believe it or not these vehicles were stronger than all these low quality metal vehicles manufactured these days.

I remember my dad (God bless his soul) purchased a brand new Santana after he fell in love with its display at the Trade fair in lagos. He always had this smell of "newness" when he returns from work back then. And we would chant "daddy is smelling of Santana Santata"
