first scan edd has passed, today is the edd that was given to me in the hospital, doc said if i dnt go into labour naturally,they'll give me one week after edd before induction. Wanted to go and see my doc today to check if i have stared dilating, but hubby said no that i should wait till my next appointment on tuesday . My prayer is to go into labour naturally on christmas day, but let God's will be done. i also forget things alot these days, on tuesday i hurried off to church, immediately i got dow frm the bus i remembered that our service is wednesday nd not tuesday, gosh, after spending my money and rushing dt i was late, with my son on my bk. Felt like crying dat day, sometimes i forget to put off the stove.,thank God i have not recorded any incident of burnt food, under dis recession, oga will finish me. Still sourcing for my delivery fee o, helpers are welcome.

I know u are a Benin mama right? Who's ur doctor? I know different docs wit different therapies.
What are his reasons for prescribing metformin? Are you diabetic or do u have pcos?
I don't know about d provera, but google isn't saying nice things about its use in pregnancy.
My own 2 cents is for u to go to ubth, (why? They handle a lot more cases) see a senior consultant gynaecologist (preferably a maternal and fetal medicine doctor) express your concerns hold nothing back.
U shall carry to term by God's grace.

Some people have had nasty experience eating pineapple whilst others says it does nothing to them.

Truthfully you need to eat as much as 6-7 whole pineapples to be affected by its cervix contracting enzyme. That being said some have also testified to just eating a slice and started bleeding.

Body differs just eat it with caution as you are still in the delicate phase of pregnancy.

Hmmm...I also have d forgetfulness syndrome, on a faithful morning I put oil on d gas to fry plantain oo..naim I go dinning go sitdon dey press fone...b4 u kwn wats happening, I remb and rushed to d kitchen only to find out smoke from d oil has finished d whole place...even d oil was now black chai...I quickly put off d stove and carried d oil outside, opened all d windows for d smoke to leave..na God save me DAT day...na wa o..u will enter into labour naturally in Jesus name amen..just believe and prophesy everyday.

I read and was told in the hospital that you have to eat 7 pineapples including the core (which is where the enzyme that causes contractions is actually found) to induce contractions.

if u drink it on daily basis it might have effect but once in blue moon i dont think its harmful. I drank teem during my 1st semester but na twice.. alot of dos n don't during pregnancy sum even said plantain no good, ice cream n milo will make ur baby fat, cold water not good font eat di dont eat dat dis n dat..abeg sister whatsoever pleases ur body system just take dem in moderation.

My doc is a fertility specialist that base on warri but for sure ill surely register with ubth....according to him e said the provera helps one to prevent miscarriages cos of the progesterone .... Just want to confirm

Dunno this drugs o but I was in your shoes last Christmas as well. Same reason. So my new doc this time placed me on progesterone injections from 8 weeks to 18 weeks. I also had a cerclage at 12 weeks and have been been managing my blood sugar levels with insulin injections daily. Maybe you need to ask your doc the reason for those specific medications

@ Jellymom I guess u were on d metformin b4 ur BFP? It's normal to continue in ur first trimester and gently wean ursef off around 13-14 weeks wen the placenta has taken over.
Brief story...
I too have pcos, b4 BFP, I was taking it 2x daily, afterwards I took it once daily, not religiously though, and stopped around 6-7 weeks (not by doctors advice o,just me, cos metformin doesn't combine well with nausea, lol)
I registered for anc around 7weeks, doc started me on duphaston 10mg BD and aspirin 75mg daily & folic acid.
Had cerclage @12 weeks and switched to Cyclogest 400mg @ night, salbutamol 2mg BD, vit. C & fesolate, continued with aspirin & folic acid. Also on bed & pelvic rest.
@ Nwarosa did ur doc give any reason why the progesterone injection was stopped @18 weeks? I have heard so many reviews about progesterone support for ic till around 30-34 weeks , to help the cervix stay strong. Please research!
Are u on bedrest?
Is ur cervix being monitored? How often do you have ultrasounds?
