@ Jellymom I guess u were on d metformin b4 ur BFP? It's normal to continue in ur first trimester and gently wean ursef off around 13-14 weeks wen the placenta has taken over.
Brief story...
I too have pcos, b4 BFP, I was taking it 2x daily, afterwards I took it once daily, not religiously though, and stopped around 6-7 weeks (not by doctors advice o,just me, cos metformin doesn't combine well with nausea, lol)
I registered for anc around 7weeks, doc started me on duphaston 10mg BD and aspirin 75mg daily & folic acid.
Had cerclage @12 weeks and switched to Cyclogest 400mg @ night, salbutamol 2mg BD, vit. C & fesolate, continued with aspirin & folic acid. Also on bed & pelvic rest.
@ Nwarosa did ur doc give any reason why the progesterone injection was stopped @18 weeks? I have heard so many reviews about progesterone support for ic till around 30-34 weeks , to help the cervix stay strong. Please research!
Are u on bedrest?
Is ur cervix being monitored? How often do you have ultrasounds?

@iyomomore....yes dear ...on METFORMIN before my pfp... I'm just almost 5weeks n will be going in for scan when I'm 8weeks gone also start my anc around that time ...
Oh as for cerclage...my sis I'll definitely get it don on my 12 weeks but a doc friend as me to do it early ,like around 8 weeks but I'm still thinking about it
Sorry dear I forgot to ask you(how's ur baby doing .....I guess we wey dsame months)
My doc is a fertility specialist ....he dose ifv....iui...just name it Sherperd hospital warri) once I get the hrt beat I'll go straight to anc at ubth....
As for the provera ...is for low progesterone...he gave me the drug as to prevent any tin miscarriage
@nwarosa...whats the name of the progesterone.....provera is also progesterone but the brand name is provera....

Do u know how many bowls of fanice ice cream I took while pregnant? I even drank Milo till the week I put to bed, yet my baby weighed 2.8kg at birth... She was even small sef DT d pediatrician refused to believe she was 2.8kg. grin

if u drink it on daily basis it might have effect but once in blue moon i dont think its harmful. I drank teem during my 1st semester but na twice.. alot of dos n don't during pregnancy sum even said plantain no good, ice cream n milo will make ur baby fat, cold water not good font eat di dont eat dat dis n dat..abeg sister whatsoever pleases ur body system just take dem in moderation.

@ Jellymom ur doc friend is right, the earlier a cerclage is put in the better, but... Most docs prefer to wait till the danger of early inevitable miscarriage has passed (usually 12-13 weeks) .
Sadly I lost that baby last year October due to ic too.

Milo ke...well maybe d baby been big also depends in mothers body fat...in fact I don't no again..but I drink Milo too...and Kelloggs.. Hope I no go too fat..don't take it all d time tho.

Mamas please what is the ideal time to start ante natal? I was thinking about starting (not now though) with my private doctor who is a consultant at uch, do I still need to register at a public hospital?
