seems like this new CBA will serious encourage teams to tank to improve the chances in the draft, rather than pick up players through Free agency.
The kings should hold On to cousins, they may never be that lucky again.

Don't mind OohMpa. In that 22 assists game I believe WB did not even make any significant points all game till the end of the 2nd quarter or beginning of the third quarter. When his first few shots did not fall he turned provider and was dishing out- which is exactly what Harden has been doing all season and why Harden's team sat 3rd in the West compared to WBs team at the time.

WB is a good player at least perhaps only Mark Cuban does not think he is a big deal. We have all consistently said his motivation to be MVP should be such that he helps his team win more games not to be averaging 40ppg with a losing streak.

Every top 20 player in the NBA can score 40+ ppg when they take 40 spg. But how many of them can afford to do it while their team keeps winning games and leading a conference? That's a different thing entirely.
I couldn't agree with you less. Westbrook has to motivate OkC to finish higher than Houston and Clippers otherwise, he would end up as an also-rans when the curtain of this season falls cos let's be frank, OkC would never get past GSW or Spurs in the play offs.

CBA is the best development the NBA has witnessed since video review was introduced.

Did you watch that game?? I guess no. If you did you'll see instead of his 12/40 FG he shot less and involved others.. That's what we're saying.. No one hates him as you insinuate.
Brother, WB doesn't shoot 12/40. He averages 24 shots per game and makes 43% of them. The Harden you're twerking all over also makes 43% of his shots while shooting less. What's the difference, amigo?

Harden doing what? grin grin

Harden averages 1 assist more than Westbrook. Wait, you're saying that 1 stat Harden has better over WB is the reason Rockets is 4th? You sure you watch bball at all?

Efficiency WB > Harden
PIE WB > Harden
+/- WB > Harden
VORP WB > Harden

Everything, WB > Harden

This is pure logic and Ooh Mpa doesn't understand why the thing hard for Warriors fans. Make hin repeat am again:

Rockets have 5 players averaging double figures
Rockets are the 3 point kings in NBA
Rockets have the forerunner for 6th man who averages 18ppg (Gordon)
Rockets are explosive even when Harden is on the bench but do better when he is on.

So, with Harden averaging 1.1 assist more than Westbeast in the only stat he does better, he miraculously makes his team look good with less eff? grin grin

Westbrook is doing what every great has done when the team gets depleted with better stats: Jordan did it, Kobe, Lebron in 2015 playoffs. Dem yapa. The only difference is he's no Jordan or Lebron.

What stats have shown is Westbrook will do better on a Rockets roster and Harden will be worse on a Thunder roster

Westbrook doesn't shoot 40 shots a game.
He got 45 points on 25 shots
He got 46 points on 33 shots the game before

He averages 24 shots a game. Find another point if you have....

It's favourable across board and gives the lesser teams a competitive edge in holding onto their star players.
Also gives veterans what they deserve for their longevity in the game.

What's your argument here because you seem to be arguing for the sake of it. They point out the weakness in WBs game, you bicker. They point out the improvements in his game, you still bicker.

I don't understand. So Harden would have been better if he played with more scrubs, jacked up his shots by 4-9 per game so he can average 40+ ppg and his team would be 7th in their division?

So Jordan did not like it as his ppgs reduced at the instance of Pippen and his rings sextupled? He would have preferred to average 50 ppg and be 7th in the east?

WTF.

You don't get what he's saying.

You are putting Harden above Westbrook while Oohmpa is saying that Harden would not be better than Russell even if he shot more with more scrubs.

Summary>>> You want Westbrook to shoot less while Oohmpa is defending him cos others have done the same thing with the kind of teammates he has. It has nothing to do with league standings

For me, ehn if WB tries and pass more, that team will end up like 76ers

Favourable Only if you already have a star player on your roster the pacers and the wizards would be very happy but Miami is not happy same for Denvers, but them get Jokic.
I also personally enjoy free agency drama that is gone now, plus we can't complain about tanking anymore.

I agree with you, take a look at my beloved Miami Heat, in 3seasons they have gone from the talk of the league to less than a wannabe. This would have been prevented if CBA came into force way back.
Anyways, one man's downfall is another's rejoicing

Point of correction: I am putting Harden over WB as the regular season's MVP not about being a better player. Just like I was willing to agree that Kyrie was better than Curry during the playoff finals and not that he is better than Curry as a player or that Curry was better than Lebron in the regular season and not that he is better than Lebron as a player.

To make my case, I said Harden's contributions have made his team overperform this season and he has allowed his teammates join the party more. In response, his team has won more games. On the other hand, for all WBs heroics (and there have been a lot of them this season) the major output is lagging behind Harden's.

If they switched teams, there is no argument that Houston may still be ahead of OKC. Two things however are for sure:

1. The teammates in Houston will score less points.
2. Houston may end up being 5th or 6th seeded

Everyone can pick their poison. I have never argued that WB is not a good player. I have instead argued that his own version of MOST VALUABLE PLAYER does not appeal to me. I am sure Mo Speights will agree.

We heard it. He may have a point but his motive is for controversy so as to sell his book and he is allowed.

Carmelo Anthony is not a winner. Everyone can agree. He will take 50 ppg with his team's record 10-72 over 15 ppg and his team 72-10. You can spot them from a mile away. Players who do everything for self aggrandizement.

But almost every star karl has coached has had issues with him, even Ray Allen.

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody:
Merry Christmas People!! and there is surely alot to be merry about tonight's games, especially the most talked about match up of the season : Cavs Vs GSW
The stats lords are already out on their game viz The Cavs are 5-0 (never lost) at home on Xmas, James is 3-0 at home on Xmas, bla bla bla. I believe records are made to be broken. The stats aren't favorable to Curry but with JR Smith missing this game, I think the warriors would win by at least 10.
My eyes are on Westbrook though, he'd surely want to tie Oscar Robertson's record for multiple triple doubles on Xmas.
If there is any game I wouldn't miss tonight aside that of the Cavs, it's Bulls Vs Spurs . I can give up anything to watch Dwayne Wade.
Merry Xmas all.

How about his defense? This aspect has improved tremendously, especially rebounding the ball and keeping hands active.

Tbh, both teams haven't played up to the hype tho. KD is doing good on both ends.. We're yet to hear from MVP, Klay and Draymond after his 3mins into first quarter Technical..

1st Quarter score GSW 27-25 CAVS

I beg to differ. I think the quality of basketball on showcase between both has been high. Both teams are moving the ball exceptionally well and more importantly, the intensity of the game especially on defense has been contagious.

I am not surprised Curry is playing possum against the Cavs. grin angry
