okay.. Am just wondering if I'm the only person experiencing these issues. Last month, First Bank deducted N365 from my account for "SMS charges" Today, I recharged once.. they debited it twice And I also received an alert for N296 deducted for SMS charges for the month..
I don't seem to understand the situation.. please, Am I the only person experiencing this? And what can I do to stop it?

Not only you, just got mine deducted few minutes ago 556naira for SMS charge, abi Na for the year or for the month.
And Also Mtn, they always steal half of my airtime these days, before I even begin to make the call.

I think the sms charge is for those that receive alert through text

Mine was N28.I think its fair cos I hv not been using my first bank account for a while now.Pls check my signature and start making at least 50k weekly

296÷4=74.
This simply means you've been alerted for transacting 74 times for that duration. Your Firstmobile or Online banking could be handy todo a comprehensive reconciliation on your account.

First bank is a very useless bank, I just got a debit alert now of N2115 for SMS alert for just one month. First thing on Tuesday morning am going to move all my fund to another bank and close the stupid account. Have been bearing it monthly but this one is just too much

When you opened ur account hw many phone numbers did you use? iif 2 den there is high possibility you are getting 2 SMS alerts. Kindly visit the bank for clarification.

*To back date ur txns simply goto homepage *Then tap on the acc u wish to get statement on.
*Tap on the logo at the top right corner.
*Select date as u wish.
*NB it must be less than or equal to 20 txn that'll display at once.

Firstbank is number one bank that is perfect in cheating people.

That's how they charged me #220 too. I am even considering canceling their SMS services.

After updating/changing to new phone number, twasnt done afresh rather added to the previous ones.
Visit the bank for clarification, social media should always be the last place to complain bout such issues.

Mine was #435 ...I was surprise :-

Access bank is worst,they deducted 365 from my account,call it sms charges

You can ask them to deactivate SMS notification on your account, instead request for email notification. Email notification costs nothing.
