You think Shekau will remain in Sambisa to be captured? The moment it becomes obvious that they can no longer hold their base, they will pack up and flee. Now, that does not take anything from the feat of the armed forces. Displacing your enemy from their stronghold and sending them on the run is a very commendable achievement and a strong statement to the enemy on who has the upper hand.

1. How can Boko Haram be oust from their base without a casualty?
2. Is it that they have abandoned the notorious sambisa forest before the army went in? OR

3. Stupidly thinking, could they be any under and arrangee for those guys to cease fire for Christmas to score some points.

All the same I may be wrong altogether.

For Shekau? I do not have a say to that. Though, some ran away to avoid being killed and most were killed by the fighter jets and most as well were killed by the advancing and defence ground soldiers.
