......... My govo came out on hearing the noise, he was in a singlet and short, looking agile as ever. He was not a member of any cult group, but he was one of the member of school parliament, he sure had great influence. He also stepped into the scene, to calm matters down.


It was already dark probably about 7pm in the evening, I was in the midst of the crowd. I couldn't see their faces but their yellow, black and red colour could be seen glowing in the dark. I felt like fleeing the scene but my sub consciousness told me to stay, since I was innocent. Only a guilty person should run I thought.

I sat at the front of my hostel, fear had gripped me totally. Infact, I wasn't myself. Marvis came over to me.

Marvis: temy, relax them go resolve this issue

Govo: you must not touch any one from this hostel, come and face me, lets resolve this issue once and for all.

About 5 Aye men took my Govo to the side of the hostel to align matters with him. He never knew it was a trap to lure him away from the scene, because he was ruining their plans. Immediately they left, the others continued clamoring for the members of the hostel to come out.

I came out with my Little brother, to the midst of the crowd. I comforted him telling him to relax that this issue will be resolved very soon. Emafidon came up to me, telling to relax that he was sure that I didn't take the shoe. He pleaded with me to answer all the questions.

The leader of the gang walked up to me. He was so dark and huge, with a thick skin and big head, I was quiet sure he worked on his body, it was all muscular. He was putting on a Yellow beret, and all black t-shirt and jean.

cultist: kneel down.

My brother knelt down, but I felt like I didn't deserve to kneel down because I wasnt guilty of the crime committed. So, I just stood there looking at him. He smiled. Marvis waved from a distance signalling me to follow his instructions, I felt skeptical abit. I did as I was told though.

Cultist: who amongst you took the shoe?

Emafidon: make una talk o.

Ty: I didn't take it (My brother said calmly, I said the same likewise)

I looked at him with all boldness. I felt like something had entered in to me. But I just had to compose myself though. I didn't repeat what he said. And this made him angry. Before I could say Jack Robinson, I felt a huge slap on my face. For the next 10 seconds, everywhere was blank.

Cultist: you dey form Olamide abi, if Wednesday reach the money no fall out you go see wetin I go do una.

He left the premises immediately. The crowd followed him behind. I just sat outside in the cold night trying to remember or figure the event that just played. A member of vikings came over to me and comforted me, telling me to relax. Marvis bid me farewell. I went straight into my room and locked myself in. My exam tomorrow was surely going to be a crazy one.

I assured Emafidon that he will see his shoe, he eventually saw it. (although this was due to the fact that, the Govo told the hotelites that we were all gonna swear) Of cause he had the right to point accusing fingers at me. In fact, in the court of law, I might me found guilty.

I began to get more inclined with campus life. It was splendid. It was like a world on it's on own. You'd see different characters of individuals. The ajebutters, who flashed their parents wealth, The G-Boys driving flashy cars, The prayer warriors, who turned every building into a fellowship, The cult members who no one dare messes with, the womanizers who chase after anything and everything that puts on skirt or leggings and the regular guys like me, who just live life, hoping for a better day.

On a very good day in class, while the lecturer was teaching, I saw this cute damsel walk into the hall. She was an epitome of beauty. She was indeed classy for this could be depicted in the type of attire she wore.
