I was so suprise the day I met an Igbo family from kogi..Indigenes of kogi state. I immediately do my research and now I know, there ar Igbos in Kogi and benue....

My brother, there is no indigenous Igbo in Benue and Kogi states. The only links are that Igbo of Enugu and Ebonyi share boundaries and cultural ties with Benue state, and Anambra, Enugu, and Delta Igbos share same with Kogi state. Note also that there are indigenous Igala tribe in Enugu, Anambra and Delta syates.

OWE is not in kwara it is in kogi state and it should be OKUN cos OWE is another name for the KABBA people; OKUN is for the OKUN speaking people that spans across 5 local gov'ts in kogi state

The people behind this silly categorization are either genuinely ignorant or mischievous. How can you list different local govt areas of the Okun people(a Yoruba sub-ethnic nationality found in Kogi state ) as separate ethnic nationalities in Nigeria just to make up the numbers? The same set of people recognized them as part of the Yoruba nation under another number. How is this different from listing all the LGAs in Ekiti as separate ethnic nationalities? This is hilarious.

IGBOS are the most scattered and I believe its for a reason, just to reduce the geopolitical zone/strenght of the IGBOS

Ijebu is not a tribe, but a Yoruba sub-ethnic nationality consisting of its own tribes like Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu Remo, Ijebu Ode et al.

Please note that ethnic group is different from languages. There are about 500+ languages in Nigeria, I believe!

I think our ethnic diversity should be the reason we should stay together. Even if we are to seperate in 371 ways, it does not guarantee any unity of purpose because people like you would clamour for your family name to be President for life or something like that thus would cause crisis in your ethnic enclave...

Bros, Benue is where I grew up, yes few Igbos own properties here and there, there is no Igbo settlement in Benue, they all travel back home for Christmas
