People need to take advantage of the many cashless policies banks have now. I don't understand why many still need cash and have to go to the bank. This country needs to grow up. Money is no more that paper you have in your hand. It's now those electronic figures on your phone.

Kenya has been using mobile money for years. We need to learn from them.

You are very right but the truth is how will you pay some sellers if you decide to do cashless things, do you know that you still need cash to pay some people? People like meat seller, pepper seller, yam seller & lots of them like that. Remember they don't have POS.

Mobile money requires a phone with a sim card of a network that supports mobile money. I presume most meat sellers have phones, dont theyIn Kenya, we have something called Lipa na MPESA for Safaricom, Lipa na Airtel for Airtel and Orange Paybill which have zero transactional fee if it is for payment of goods .So you just pay to the meat seller's till number.
In Kenya, even fast food joints have the Mobile Paybil option, POS or in many cases, both.

Most of our cashless policies are not favourable. Imagine being charge 65 naira every time you use your card on a POS of another bank. If you carry out 10 transactions in a day, that is a 500 naira leak out of your pocket.
Most of our policies are anti people.

Nigerian Banking System=Retarded.
Most POS in Kenya are of equity,KCB or Barclays.It is illegal by law to charge anything if a person uses the card of a different bank on a POS that is not theirs. You can only do that on ATMs, not on POS.POS transactions are free for customers

In this case, that means Nigeria have just decided on their own not to develop at all.
