She may be giving you a very incorrect information. Some of these front desk guys are incompetent. Speak with your physician

That's the price I got when I called initially too. So as adviced, go through a doctor ,you will get a lower package.

Thanks. Will wait till New year and chase up aggressively.

Thankful11011:
Good day to everyone,
Compliments of the season,Please I need some series advise, I gave birth in Houston north medical centre a month ago, the statement I got before I arrived was
Hospital-$2000
Paediatric services-675
Epidural-650
Excluding doctor's fee, doctor was paid separately, I have clear the hospital bill, epidural .
After a month the hospital sent me a bill of $3900 for my baby for nursery services, lab work, pharmacy and extra nursing services, now am suprised and I called them, and told them they didn't make me aware I was gonna pay his extra bill, and I was gonna work with their initial quote, because I was feeling scammed by the hospita. they gave me couple of options which included filling a despute with them to investigate what I was told I would pay, and putting the account on hold for 30days
Also with the paediatric fees which is suppose to be $675, I got a bill for 1133, I told them I was gonna pay a dollar more from $675 and and they adjusted it to 900 and sometin( was so angry I didn't get the exact amount) , I refused and he said I can also file a dispute
Please has anyone gone through this before , and please house advice me on what to do because I. Cannot afford these extra, unplanned bills
Thanksss

Please how did you sort this out? I'm planning to use same hospital in March and im worried reading your post.

Hello wonderful mamas, I have been a silent reader, largely cos I was busy trying to to acquire some knowledge abt this process by reading thru all d parts. You guys are totally awesome...information at the fingers tip. This is my situation...Dw and i, are planning to leave by first week of July but atm we don't have a doctor and a hospital. I have resolved to use oakbend or elpaso but I have issues getting thru to them.
How do I contact them...all effort to reach thme by calls has been unfruitful. I cant find a proper email on their site....Pls I need help

Please I will like to find out if 3 weeks will be enough for DW and I to finish all the paper work process in the houston to enable us fly back to nigeria on time.. This information will help me in the booking of the return flight and also save a considerable amount of cost.

Yes, three weeks should be enough.
Some people have done it in two weeks or even less esp if when not processing the Naija passport.

I believe it is enough because I got everything ready in 2 weeks and returned exactly 3 weeks and one day after putting to birth.

A way to avoid maintenance fee is to request for paperless e banking.
You don't pay for any maintenance fee but
You don't receive paper statements and you can't carryout transactions inside the bank...strictly internet and ATM
babe I am still waiting for your response

Happy New Year to all the mummies and daddies in the house.
Please I have few questions to ask on how to pay for airbnb accommodation.
1. Can I pay with my debit card.
2. Will all the money be removed at ones.
3. Does dollar monthly card limitations affect my payment.
4. Does PayPal also have limitations when making payments through it.
Please kindly share your experience or put me through on how to go about making the payment which is above monthly dollar limit. Thank you

Good evening NL family. In the spirit of giving back, this is my experience.i came into Chicago on Friday 9th of December.

My flight was meant to be on Wednesday via arik airlines at 10:30pm, unfortunately it was cancelled till 10:30am the following day and I wasn't notified. I waited till 12:00am to check in my bags cos they were a lot before going back home. I got back to MMA again around 9am on Thursday and there was a lot of commotion at the arik kiosk. Other customers from london, New York, South Africa took over the counter and refused the staff from checking us in. We waited till 4pm before the officials resumed checking the passengers bag and it took abt2hrs of our time. At 6pm, they started boarding us but not on the flight, we were kept in a cubicle where we stayed another 2hrs. During this period, they explained that they were waiting for the captain to inspect the plane, thereafter they were waiting for the cabin crew, thereafter they said the fuel wasn't sufficient and they needed abt 3tons of fuel. Finally, we were boarded into the plane where we waited another 1hr in the very hot plane, they said the fuel wasn't enough and that they needed more fuel. At that point the passengers were furious and insisted that the pilot moved the plane otherwise they will all be beaten up. Finally at 9:10pm, we started our journey to JFK. The pilot did a great job taking off and landing even to the extent that all of the passengers clapped for him, the food on board was fantastic but there was no entertainment on board but no one needed it cos we were all tired. The plane was really nice and I was wowed, even the passengers commended arid on that.
We got to JFK on Friday around 4:00am and I requested for a wheelchair but I had a toddler with me so I couldn't use it but my interview with the cbp officer was fast tracked.
I filled the self help electronic device and I was cleared even though I had a lot of African food with me. I waited for some minutes and it was my turn with a dark skinned elderly cbp officer. My interview went thus;

Me: Good morning (hands over myself and baby's passport)
Cbp: hi, why are you here? (Scans my passport)
Me: To give birth to my baby
Cbp: wow, wow, wow while looking at the computer screen
Me: I hope there is no problem cos I can hear u wowing
Cbp: not at all, how long will you stay in the USA
Me: three months
Cbp: I have just one little problem with u, u will be staying for 3months but ur visa expires in jan
Me: yes, it will. I sent a mail to the embassy and was told that I'll be fine but that my entry to the USA is dependent on ur own discretion.
Cbp: nods his head and stamps me in for 6months. No documents asked , no agriculture.
I was struggling with my begs when I was leaving and he Called me to ask what. Had in my bag and I told him my baby foodstuff and her clothes. He also asked if I had liquid stuff in my bag and I said no. He then asked me to proceed to collect my baggages and I was free to leave.
No secondary inspection,no agriculture. All in all took abt 2mins.
I took a delta flight to Chicago and I'm still trying to get used to the weather.
Abeg for mamas looking to fly before visa expires, pls be prepared ooo, and don't get to usa on the day ur visa expires cos ur flight might be delayed.

My appreciation goes to my personal persons firstymom,ladyG,Sugah,Gagat,etc....

pls I sent a pm to you. Do check

Happy new year my ppl
I am yet to get a hospital and a doctor, only doctore parati in elpaso responded to my mail, they seem a little on the high side now, i think northwest medical center seems cheaper from what I have been reading here.
Please if anyone has used northwest medical center in houston, pls I might need some help with a more direct contact, if you recommend it. My DW edd is in august, I want to start early with the process so we can get alot of it out of the way.
All my NorthWestern mamas and papas...
