This is 100% possible. Time-zone from one continent to another makes this possible.

With a common sense, one should know it's possible.

Na so it suppose be both countries time are not the same, one is ahead and the other is behind.

Wonderful! Time zone differences! The people in that flight experienced a new year twice, within hours. Definitely a record setting event.

This is one of the beauties of the world.


However, I would rather travel from 2016 and land in 2017 than the other way around.

Did you check the position of those two lacations on the Earth longitude and latitude. No time to stress myself this evening but there is a probability it is possible.

Time difference is what happened here. China see the new year like some 16 hours before the Americans, the plane took off from Shanghai, China which had already seen the new year of 2017 and landed back in America which had not entered 2017 yet due to the fact that San Francisco is 16 hours behind Shanghai

India also watched liverpool vs manchester city for 2years.
They watched 1st half in 2016 and 2nd half in 2017.
