Can someone please help a 'newbie' like me and pardon my 'Ignorance' (as my request might look stupid)

How can I get a cheap transportation to College Station in Texas. I am currently around Pearland, Houston and I seriously need advice as most fare rate I am seeing via google are higher than my pocket.

Furthermore, anyone in Houston or Texas A&M willing to give me useful info will be appreciated.

Thanks

House, please I am here again to ask the gurus in the house about the following schools based on your experience and knowledge

New Mexico Tech
Louisiana Tech
University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Funding and cheap tuition is a major consideration. I am going for MS Chemical engineering.

I appreciate the 2 nairalanders that responded to my earlier enquiry which has made me fine-tune my search. God bless you all.

Insulting the visa officers is very bad manners and could cause bad feeling to other applicants.

They should cancel you visa, what country wants such a bad mannered person visiting?

Hello friends pls i have a qtn. I am presently reviewing gpa requirements of schools before applying.

Then it dawned on me that since our gpa system is 5.0 then do we just do a wes evaluation and insert in the column during application ?

Since some schools do not demand for WES evaluation how then do we now know the correct gpa to use I mean /4.0 during application ?

Granted the school might do their own conversion but what if it differs ?

I hope y'all get my qtn...

Thank you Ma. For now I need a one-off.

Checked ground shuttle but the schedule time on my intended date of travel is not favorable. I have an appointment for 10am and the buses schedule time of travel is 8:30 -11:00. Sleeping over around the campus a day before looks like an option but not knowing anyone in or around is making that a difficult option to consider.

Abeg na beg o... The point am trying to make is this, can I just do a wes evaluation using that link on this thread and use whatever value it gives me as /4.0 on my application ?

Or how do I know the official /4.0 equivalent of my gpa for school that does not require wes evaluation ?

Dude has not been corrected yet!
What he said is disgusting and racially insulting to someone trying to do a difficult job.
He must make a public apology for his little village, tribal mentality that is an insult to all Nigeria.

I Woke Up this Morning at 5 o’clock. Couldn’t stop Praying even while showering. My appointment was for 7.30. I left the house at 5.30 on getting to CMS bus stop I was stopped by Policemen. They where stopping virtually everyone holding an envelope or folder. They searched through my documents, specifically searching for my sponsors statement. They said I should call my sponsor to confirm the statement isn’t forged or I didn’t steal it. Unfortunately I didn’t go with my Phone after much argument and shouting one of them called me aside and said they don’t want to be an hindrance to my progress that I should shake body. The collected 2k and let me go after wasting my for about 15mins.
Fast forward I got to the embassy gate @ about 7am after all the checking and finger printing I was told to line up at window 3 behind an elderly woman. Her interview took a while because they had to get an interpreter. My interview went thus:
VO: Good morning
Me: Good Morning
Pass Your Passport and I20
Me. I did
V.O: Tell Me about your study plans
Me: I am going to Morgan state University to pursue a master’s degree in Project management.
VO: Why Project management?
Me: I seek a Masters Degree in Project Management because I am confident it would give me a competitive advantage among construction professionals in the Nigerian construction Industry.
V.O: What did you study in your first degree?
Me: I have a Bachelors degree in Quantity surveying.
V.O. And you have been working as a quantity surveyor.
Me: Yes I have
V.O: Who would be paying your fees?
Me: I have the support of my Uncle.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is an architect and owns a construction company.
VO: Have you travelled to the US before
Me: Yes I have
The she kept typing for a while and dropped my passport in the box beside her.
You pick up your passport in three working days at she circled and passed me the white paper. Don’t forget to take your I20 with you. No Document was checked
NB: I had a valid B1B2 and was scared as hell because I heard so many stories that if I get denied my B1B2 would be cancelled. Thank you all for your contributions on this thread it has been so helpful. I wish all intending applicants Gods favour your testimony is on the way.
