Do not be too quick to judge the price. Most of these bags have fakes. Also, it is the branding that makes the bag expensive. You can have a similar bag (china copy) that goes for less than 20% of the original.

To make matters worse, you are advertising your lavish and unwise spending, and mocking the less privileged with it.

This is wickedness and outright vanity.

In two years time that bag would have been shorn of its mileage and discarded.

It's for this reason I don't take these celebrities serious. Many of them are at best shallow-brained.

I pray whoever I eventually get married to is just as simple as I am. Even if I have one trillion pounds in my account, I can never spend 2m, or 1m....Heck, I can't even spend more than 20k on a bag.

Life is beyond this....bags, cars, wristwatches...SMH.

Do people even think? To what purpose is all this vaingloriousness, especially if we consider the shortness of human life?

I can understand why you have no qualms with lavish spending. You are young, inexperienced, and like many others, have been hardwired by the Media – music videos et al – to fancy and splurge on all that glitters without putting tomorrow in view.

Spending #800 on rubber slippers is not wasteful; spending #2 million on a bag is reckless, vainglorious, and wasteful.

Even Warren Buffet would not invest so much in such a liability.

You hardly find intelligent people being wastefully materialistic. Toke Makinwa is not quite the intelligent type, and there are reams of evidence to support my assertion. She's just your typical garden variety Nigeria woman, so I'm not completely surprised.
