People do trek in most downtown areas. It's the suburbanites that barely trek; they have to drive to most places e.g. grocery stores which could be 2-3 miles away from their homes.

Sneak peek of small town Pennsylvania. Good roads, uninterrupted power supply, law and order, good social safety nets, good healthcare, time to relax and take vacations, food aplenty... I am as patriotic as they come but Nigeria is basically hell on earth.

I now understand. this is where naija has advantage over US. as naija born and brought up, lawlessness and disorderliness are in us.. we can even hit the traffic warden and go Scot free. no fine. I love naija sha

*shakes head*... this is why many of us won't come back to Nigeria. Here we have people celebrating the fact that chaos, crime (hitting a traffic warden and/or fleeing the scene of an accident is a crime in other serious countries) and violence are a way of life and they wonder why Nigeria isn't progressing.
