For the record, I don't back the university stance on hair. But students have to learn that in real life employers demand dress and grooming standards.

That can only happen in private universities. Students are treated there like secondary school students. In fact, they are glorified secondary schools. The same in Covenant university where students are not allowed to use mobile phones.

I just wanted to clear up the idea that haircuts are a reflection of decency.

I frown upon unkempt looks generally, but I don't use it to judge anyone, some of the brightest human minds look unkempt most of the time.
