Maybe because condom is thicker than gloves, remember it was used to prevent laceration of the stomach and He would have sterilised the Condom before using it.

Story of how he got the cap in his stomach isn't clear. How can drinking too fast make counter enter ones stomach? The article should say he drank without removing the bottle top.

Not true, the did not open him up wide enough for human hand to get in. Condom was used because of the shape and it's ability to grasp the object with the aid of the surgical and hold it tight.

Gud suggestion though. But mind u, d gastrointestinal tract is not a serile canal to say. And I feel dat d use of a lubricated latex condon as in d procedure prevents some degree of friction/mucosal injuries as could exist with d use of sterile glove u suggested. Or wat do think?

am sorry my response is coming late tho, yea, d GIT isnt sterile.. but u'd agree wt me dt d Dr in question must av gloved using ds same sterile glove n it sure wouldnt av cause friction or mucosal injury to d best of my knowledge
