More and more countries are producing oil....and current projections indicate that oil prices are not going back to $100 and above.

And then there are the advances in green tech.

We are already living in a world where oil would soon become less important. We better adapt fast.

The future where oil has little value is very far away. Power/energy all over the world is still VERY oil dependent and will remain so for long. Alternative energy is still at experimental and negligible levels.

many drugs comes from crude oil
plastics which is in almost everything today is from crude oil..

perfumes, costmetics etc all depend on crude oil

petrol vehicles are not the main reason america spent billions to discover more crude oil by FRACKING!
