Nice to be in the 11th part. Hopefully we have lesser number of intended criminals disguised as students and less number of entitled lazy bums too. I'm thankful to Electronic, Slimmy2005, SirRiddy, Gunther6, aadeyi, Lagosismyhome for their responses to my last post. Sorry it took a while to get back, work got crazy over the weekend  I seemingly can't quote their posts because it's now Part 11 and the post in Part10 seem to be locked (or is there a way to do this?) @Slimmy: Good to hear that you have 2 friends in similar program, can you kindly inquire how they got funded? Thanks @happyday: Thanks for your response. I seriously hope they don't expect me to fund my way all through. Interestingly, I mentioned my areas of interest in my SOP and even mentioned faculties I'd like to work in their research group. If need be, I'd reference it in my subsequent mail to the Grad Coord @SirRiddy: Thanks bro! So you got in for the MS too? I guess you chose K-state cos it's PhD and the funding? Do you by any chance have anyone doing PHD in KU? @your 2nd comment: I really don't understand this fully. However, u are quick to criticising n condemning people's opinion/posts most times. Well, I was quite impressed on reading about how u got full funding n never had to pay for your schooling....kudos! Perhaps luck, coupled with your hard work for d 3 years really paid off. I know u must be very smart. Please, wouldn't it be nice if u give peeps here helpful tips, advice n suggestion with regards to school application and funding, instead of bashing d ones who come to ask questions......cos that's what I see from you most times. I'm sure with your experience and academic background in d US, you could make a more helpful contributions here. Although I understand that some questions asked here depict little or no efforts from d OP, such OP may need just little tips to launch him/her into d right direction. Good day people, I was offered admission for Fall 2017. So I contacted the International students office of the school abt the status of my I-20, I got a reply that I will be issued an I-20 by May, 90 days before the program start date. Please I thought an I-20 is issued immediately an admission is offered, why the long wait till May? Please I need to know what to do because I wanna get an early appointment date for an interview, latest by May 1 Like |

saninwa:reason for issuing i20 best known to them or better still ask them. But may 90days to your resumption is the right time I think. And it's not late or bad. You would still have ample time to get early appointment. In all, visa approval is the koko! So, relax bro/sis |
