Young man, try to see the forest for the trees; there's so much evil in this world, somethings are beyond reason.

Somethings are beyond reason. It baffles me that you guys don't realise the irony in this statement. There are thousands of religions in this world, why do you believe yours is right since the rest religions are also above your reasoning?

I will tell you what's beyond your reason. I will grab a knife just before the break of dawn tomorrow morning and block you in the dark part of the streets as you come out of the house to take a piss, I would squeeze the air outta your lungs, take whatever useful item on you, and then gut you like a fish on the slaughter table. Then when the cops come calling, my defence would be that "my god said" he wanna see how your insides look like so I blindly obliged him, ignoring the consequences of doing such, and I would go further saying even though I try to explain to them why I did what I did, they wouldn't be able to comprehend it because the whole situation is clearly above and over their understanding, as the rationale behind my action is privy to only my god and myself. Sounds legit.

Man could always execute diabolical acts and could justify those acts how best they can. Man has great potentials. Never underestimate man. We can reject reason, and instead clinge to blind faith, but we cannot escape the dark abyss which is the consequence of rejecting reason.

Why do you eat good food? Because you need it to survive. If your pastor tells you that God revealed to him through a dream that you should go on fast for 6 months, would you do it? Certainly not.

So any ideology that cannot be properly rationalised is worthless and harmful to man.

In the book '48 laws of power', he acknowledged the people who's used the game of power to manipulate and torture him over the years as his inspiration. You could say he learned the best way, from experience.

as for superiority of religion I won't say much abt anybody's religion, but my conviction here in Christ is wat am holding on to,he sees and knows my flaws and still went ahead to die for me. cleanse me of my iniquities, I was born full of sin but I was redeem tru him. I believe in his compassion, his love , care, mercy and grace, I believe in his sacrifice, if not for him where would I have been by now.

I have had it for more than 3 years, and I still have not gotten the hang of it
This is from someone who even also reads, and likes Les Miserables, and many other classics too

I don't get it, my aversion to the book...I remember there is a hospital stay in it...after a war (I dunno again),....but from seeing the phrase everywhere, in books, films, peoples' lips, even mine , I bought it to read-....then hit a wall

Until you are empowered little little problems will put you to mockery, shame and disgrace but when you have received power you will be able to deal with the things causing shame in your life effectively and permanently. God bless you. Note the Bible remains the best but without the spirit of God you can't understand what it is saying, you tend to read literally not knowing what God is saying.

Who is responsible for all the evil and bad things happening in the world?
Who is responsible for the tsunamis, earthquakes, death, famine, poverty, deadly diseases, drought, and a host of unmentioned dreadful things plaguing mankind?
Now the usual escape defence of theists like you in scenarios like this, is that sin came into existence when man strayed from God. And I always reply them by quoting the below text straight from the holy bible. And right in that particular text, God himself stated that he created evil.

The flaws of religion are not noticed by the followers instead they are glorified.Pls how does this relate to a high temperamental man that sent 48 children to cold death because they were mocking him.Sincerely i was expecting a better analogy but with religious people like you anything can be expected before you start calling me devil's advocate but am just trying to be real here.
